“Good value. Dog Friendly. Clean.”

This hotel was a good value for the cost. We simply needed a place to stay overnight to break up a long drive home, that allowed our 55 lb. dog. The staff were welcoming and polite. Our room was clean and spacious, the bed and pillows good quality. The immediate surroundings are nothing special but I felt safe walking our dog after dark as long as I stayed close to the building lights ( avoid the adjacent empty lot). Room darkening shades worked well. I wished we had left the heater fan on constant run because there was some traffic noise from I-64 and 5 th St. But we were not disturbed by any noise within the hotel. There are restaurants nearby ( we tried Sultan Kebabs) and if you have time to explore Charlottesville, it is a beautiful, historic town.

“Comfortable, Convenient Hotel”

“Faded Glory”

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel for several reasons. The hallways are dark and not very inviting. I have very mixed feelings about this hotel for several reasons. The hallways are dark and not very inviting. The desk clerk signed me up for rewards, however, used my middle name to establish the account. We ate two meals in the hotel's restaurant. Dinner choices were extremely limited. The tables use place mats, and the underside of the place mats were dirty. Our server said that the breakfast crew must not have cleaned under them. The next morning at breakfast we found all the place mats still very dirty. The carpeting in the restaurant looked faded and very worn with spots of soiled something.

“Stay somewhere else”

Ceiling mold, one elevator did not work and the other was on its way out by the sound and speed of it. Restaurant prices extremely high. Bartender was rude and in fact I had to go find her to order a drink, she was sting behind the reservation area talking on the phone. Unacceptable at any level… more

Ceiling mold, one elevator did not work and the other was on its way out by the sound and speed of it. Restaurant prices extremely high. Bartender was rude and in fact I had to go find her to order a drink, she was sting behind the reservation area talking on the phone. Unacceptable at any level but worse when my drink was $15.00 would have expected a bit better service. I was refunded $79 off the bill for mold but that would not encourage me to ever stay there again.
