It's a nice location right by the waterfront but not too busy. Short walk to overlook walk and Pike Place Market. Across the street from the Bell Harbor Conference Center. Even my basic room had a peekaboo view of the ocean. The rooms have been updated. There were a few minor cleaning issues, but I did receive a small credit to make up for it. Pool depth is 4 feet, which would have been difficult for a small child. It's cool that part of it is inside and part is outside. The gym has basic equipment. The hotel has valet parking, but there is an unaffiliated parking garage around the corner on Wall St. for half the price.

“Seattle Marriott Waterfront”

Great place to stay for your Norwegion Cruise. Walk across the street and your boarding. Clean, spacious rooms. Ate at their restaurant which was very good. Highly recommend. Pricey like most Seattle hotels, but worth it for the convenience .

We stayed in a partial water view room for two nights before leaving for a cruise. We had a really nice experience. Was everything five star perfect? No, but I think it’s really about expectations and attitude, and some people just like to complain. Check in was fast and friendly, and included some fun extras we didn’t expect. Was it expensive? Yup, but we knew that when reserving…so why on earth complain? Did our partial water view become temporarily blocked by a massive cruise ship? Yup, but it was temporary and we thought it was fun to see everyone coming and going. Was the hotel food expensive? Yup, but all the restaurants in that area are expensive…it’s the Seattle waterfront! Was our room clean and comfy? Yup!!! Did everything work? Yup! When ordering room service, did I have to do it online and were there issues? Yup! But another reviewer said there was no way to talk to the restaurant to get what you want…NOT TRUE! Use your brain people! I just googled the restaurant for its phone number, talked to staff, who were quite accommodating, and was able to get everything I needed delivered quickly to our room. Did I wish the bar stayed open later than 10 pm? Yup, but once I learned it’s hours, I just pre planned and had what I wanted to drink delivered to my room…there is a refrigerator in the room! Sometimes things happen which truly warrant a complaint to management, but in reading through these reviews, I’ve decided often times people ruin their own trip by having a bad attitude. We look forward to being able to return for another stay.

We booked this hotel as for the convenience for a cruise the next day. We arrived late and tired and were greeted by a very pleasant young lady at the front desk. The room was fine..very typical Marriott property. Nothing special.. very average. Overall it was clean. There were no robes in the closet which would have been nice, but cost cutting seems to be rampant . I might add we booked with points so it made the cost more palatable. Dinner in the restaurant was again okay. Not memorable. They do seem strapped for employees, which is not my problem. We had breakfast there also…basically the same. Very average. We went back to the room and I was checking the bill and there was a $25 Seattle Hotel charge on the bill. I called the front desk to ask about this and 5 seconds after I nicely ask my question( I was told it would be removed when I checked in) this employee who did not identify herself said “you have an attitude “ and HUNG UP. So I went down there and ask to speak to the manager. Some woman appeared, was very waffling in her response…the credit was applied to our dinner (that was all I wanted to know..nothing complicated) We got a cab and left for our trip. I did email the “manager” multiple times and receive no response. After days someone finally responded and just made excuses. I don’t know if this is the “new” way of dealing with customers, but if these people worked for me, they would be looking for a new job. I am rating this hotel a 3..very average. If I were to rate the front desk morning shift I would give them a ZERO. I would not stay here again.
