I went to malia in June with 3 other girlis and stayed in the iris! The hotel is brilliant. We had a perfect apartment which gave us a lot of space throughout the ten days which was on the lower floor number 15! The iris is soo close to the beach and the strip so you can't go wrong when you have a few too many drinks and decide to jump in the sea before you go back! Oscars bar is the bar linked to the iris, perfect for a drink before you hit the clubs with brilliant deals on drinks and the friendlist barman Nikos who makes your every second feel welcome and loved! We made so many friends who were also staying at the iris and working at the bar it was the biggest laugh ever! I didn't want to leave, none of us did! Its been a month since I've been back and still missing the place. The local shop is great too, get all you need and a man even wheeled our trolly back to our door just to help. The showers have been complained about to be cold but to be honest with the sun being so hot I had the cold anyway! The showers are only cold if you have them last, and if you want them warmer, just ask and they but the boiler on instead of the solar panel heat. The pool had a bar and friendly atmosphere too. Can't tell you how much fun we had in malia and how much the iris helped this happen! Love the iris, oscars bar, and all the staff there. Thankyou! The hotel was in the perfect location, right next to the beach and just at the bottom of the strip! It's a family owned business so the atmosphere was really warm and relaxed. Me and my friend stayed there for one week but really got to know everyone there so we were sad to leave :( the room was very basic but it's okay if you're not spending all day in the hotel. The only downside was that the towels and sheets weren't changed very often and we had to ask a maid for fresh ones. Also the breakfast that's included was a bit poor, not much choice and it didn't seem very fresh. Apart from that we had the best holiday ever and we're going to miss everyone there so much
