Always our favorite place to stay when visiting the area! We’ve stayed here for years and have been able to see the upgrades and improvements and yet it has consistently remained the lowest priced hotel in the area. I am disappointed in most recent negative review as none of it is in alignment with the truth. The showers work great and water pressure is fine. They have upgraded features throughout the room. The coffee pot works great and it is simple but we don’t book hotels to receive a five star coffee experience. There are MANY nearby breakfast and coffee places and we’ve had no problem enjoying the central location and proximity of nearby local shops and spots. We never found ourselves ever needing to watch the tv since there is already so much to do outside of the room. There are even firepits at the rock open daily until 2am. We’ve never had a problem working out of our suitcases and the provided storage, as we travel often and are understanding that on vacations, we never pack the entire house to come with us. There also IS a freezer as part of the refrigerator. Additionally, they do have an ice machine downstairs. I will say, we didn’t have an ice bucket in our room. But not sure if it’s available upon request? They are very kind and accommodating and I’m sure it could be a possibility if requested. That leads me into my final part. We stay at Rockview largely due to the quietness of the lodging itself, the comfort of the beds and cleanliness of the room. We’ve stayed at many other places in Central Coast area where the walls are thin and you can hear peoples conversations and televisions. That is simply not the case here. The staff has always been very kind and helpful with choosing rooms, extra towel requests, reasonable late checkouts, and ensuring the check-in process is smooth and efficient. We will always continue to choose Rockview over everywhere else for these reasons. We will continue to support this business every time.

“Loved everything!”

The hotel is clean, beautiful, and affordable. Perfect for our stay. My husband who travels a lot for work also thinks that this is the best BW hotel he has ever stayed at. Would recommend and go back if we ever visit Kyoto again.

Amazing staff, great rooms and room amenities, short walk to train and bus stops. Loved our stay! And would recommend it to anyone travelling to Kyoto! Unexpected perk of self serve sake, beer, tea, juice and coffee 3pm until 10pm daily!
