We have visited Rome in July and couldn't find a better spot to stay. We'd liked to see as much as possible and thanks to this location we did not loose too much time to use public transport. Every major attraction is in a walking distance and to jump to Spanish Steps in the evening took us 5 minutes. A/C was working well. Everything was clean and it was a pleasant stay. Also the people from the hotel allowed us to check in lately and were very helpful during our stay. Definitely recommend this place! P.S ..and the restaurant downstairs is amazing !

“Good value accommodation in cenral Rome”

Nice, tidy, spacious apartment, good location, very friendly staff. It was nice to have hotel reception even though we stayed in an apartment. Only minus: wifi only at the hotel reception, not at the apartment.

This gets four stars primarily because of its wonderfully convenient location – less than 10 minutes walk to either the Spanish steps or the Trevi Fountain, within about 20 minutes of most of the attractions and 5 minutes from the closest Metro station (though from bitter experience, we recommend taking a taxi from Termini when you arrive with your luggage– it's only €10 – if you want to avoid getting your purse lifted in the crush to get on board the train). The apartment itself is pretty basic, but provides you with everything you need for a short stay, at a very reasonable price considering the location. The staff at the Hotel Cecil in the next street, who manage the apartments, are very helpful and while there's no Wi-Fi in the apartment, they're happy to let you use theirs. The place is definitely compact, but the bed is comfortable enough and there's a little cooking alcove where you could, at a pinch, prepare a plate of pasta, though there's a distinct lack of places to put anything down. There is a really excellent restaurant next door, though, so you probably won't want to self-cater except maybe for breakfast. Everything seems to work OK, with some reservations about the lift which is nerve-rackingly slow and goes out of service at 8 in the evening. The stairs are one of the nicest things about the building, though, having been redesigned in the 1870s by an architect who was sufficiently proud of his work to put up a plaque in Latin commemorating it.
