“Hotel was ok - staff & food were great”

Hotel room was well dated and not great but it was for the most part clean except for a manky armchair in the corner that I wouldn't let the kids touch let alone sit on. Bathroom had been refurbed. Hotel room was well dated and not great but it was for the most part clean except for a manky armchair in the corner that I wouldn't let the kids touch let alone sit on. Bathroom had been refurbed. The good: the staff were great, very helpful and willing to help if you needed it. The buffet breakie was good and well worth it. Enough variety for everyone to get a feed before heading out for the day. I never read the site correctly when I booked it as I thought there was a gym...they haven't got one but do some of of deal or consession to one around the corner or somewhere so I didn't even bother with that. I'll make sure to read the small print next time I book. I would go back for the staff and breakfast but not for the room or lack of a gym.

“Great location, recently refurbished”

Had a lovely stay at the Mercure Treasury gardens. Twas a Friday night, so lots of AFL fans in the building, but the bar and restaurant coped very well. Staff attentive and helpful. Had a lovely stay at the Mercure Treasury gardens. Twas a Friday night, so lots of AFL fans in the building, but the bar and restaurant coped very well. Staff attentive and helpful. King sized bed was very comfortable, and although we were on Spring St, there was very little street noise. The hotel appears to have undergone a refurbishjment in the past 5 years, with excellent results. The TV is a tad small, but there is much to see and do in Melbourne, there's small need to stay inside..

This is an average hotel located pleasantly across the road from Treasury Gardens and walking distance to the MCG. My room was quite basic and located to the rear of the hotel with a local city view. This is an average hotel located pleasantly across the road from Treasury Gardens and walking distance to the MCG. My room was quite basic and located to the rear of the hotel with a local city view. Everything about the room suggested ‘budget’ with little style, limited and basic toiletries, small bathroom and just long life milk in the bar fridge. Bed comfort was good as was the shower. Wifi was weak. The breakfast was the usual hotel faire with full buffet for $30 and continental for $24. The zealous waitress cleared my table twice as I went to the buffet with the table re-occupied by someone else on my return which I found frustrating. Functional without flair.
