I stayed at this hotel May 21 - 26, 2015. Nice hotel. Would stay again. But here's some points for improvement: - Some of the concierge hotel staff speak English, while others do not. For a Ramada/Wyndham chain hotel with a worldwide scope, one would expect consistency in this regard. - No temperature control in hotel room. - No work desk in hotel room. - Concierge needs to do a better job of explaining tour activities/options and maybe assist in directly coordinating such tours. - Hotel pricing is off-market. Other boutique hotels are cheaper in the same area. - Maintenance issues should be addressed asap. The light in my bathroom did not work, and it took about 3 days for the staff to fix the light (despite repeated requests to fix it). - TV channels were mostly in Spanish. TV should have more English options like BBC News, etc.

Spent 5 nights here with my friends and enjoyed our stay. The gym isnt really a gym however. It has about 4 pieces of equipment... The only piece I wanted to use (the threadmill) was not working. The room was very nice and spacious. The electricals were a little strange though. The lights had a habit of deciding when they chose to work and when not. And when I turned on the hair dryer in the on suite bathroom, I noticed a flame growing on the inside so I promptly turned it off. But that is really all the negatives I can think off. The staff were very attentive. The breakfast was quite decent too but the scrambled eggs were always cold for some reason. The location is very nice and to me felt very safe. And the actual price was brilliant. Its about a 15 minute walk to the zona rosa and your are only a 5 minute walk from some restaurants and convenience stores. If I return to Bogota, I wouldnt bother looking at other hotels. I would definitely stay in the Epoque again,. One final thing. Please dont hand out business cards for another Ramada hotel in Bogota. We werent aware it was for another hotel and made getting a taxi home one night a difficult process

This little boutique hotel was perfect for our trip to Bogota, price was very reasonable on the booking and when we arrived they even gave us a better room for our rate and included breakfast for us, as we booked a big group a couple of rooms. Staff was always ready to help and please needs and the Rooms where good size and shower was great. One downer would be that the room can get a bit cold at night, however the Staff accommodates you with a heater in case you need it.

“Nice Food and Decor; Inept Staff”

I had an extremely small room with no desk. The window had a sheer curtain that blocked out nothing and I’m sure allowed anyone to see in. Lights from the nearby building blazed into my room. The bed was okay, and the pillows were also okay. The room was too hot with the massive quilt and too cold without it. I slept very little because every time someone turned on a light across the alley, I saw it. There was also a lot of noise in said alley – especially Friday and Saturday nights. On Friday it went until 4 am and Saturday until 2 am. It’s a residential neighborhood. Where did all of this noise come from? Because it was a residential neighborhood, there were no good restaurants nearby. The restaurant at the hotel was good, but one wants to explore. Basically I went to other hotels and their restaurants, which was a crap shoot. Some were good, some were not. Here are some of the things that happened at the hotel: 1. I was told when I checked in that the breakfast buffet (included in the price of the room) was open until 10 on weekdays and 11 on weekends and that the restaurant closed at 9:30 every day. The reality: there was no breakfast buffet when I came down on Wednesday and on Saturday the restaurant was closed at 2:00 pm when I came down. 2. The blow dryer didn’t work, the bathroom sink did not drain well and the shower leaked at the top of the spout. I brought these items to the attention of the manager, who indicated that they were not in a position to fix all of that. Apparently, maintenance is not something about which they are pro-active. On the second day after notifying them of this, the shower was sort-of fixed, but the maintenance person had left my room wide open – with all of my stuff in the room. 3. I was told there were not tour agencies in Bogota. But, the hotel had drivers that would show me around. Unfortunately, they didn’t speak English and one of them wanted to drop me of at a restaurant from which I had not clue how to get back to the hotel. I finally got one who did speak English – sort of. There was a 20% additional fee for that! 4. To use the drivers I was told that I could bill it to the hotel. No mention was made of an additional charge for that. After the first day, I was told I had to pay an additional charge. So, I asked where the nearest cash machine was and they sent a bellboy with me to find it. He practically ran to the ATM and then left me there to find my way back. It was not easy, and I got lost. Later this same bellboy entered my room without knocking while I was in the room. 5. One day I had an early departure and asked for a wake-up call. I never got that call and just happened to wake up 30 minutes later. 6. There are door handle signs which say “please do not disturb” and “please make up the room.” Apparently the weekend maid cannot read. When I had “do not disturb,” she banged on the door and woke me up. When I got up, went out and placed the “make up room” sign she didn’t clean it and had to be asked by the front desk to do so several hours later. 7. Having spent the three weeks prior in South America, I had laundry to do. I specifically said I wanted the shirts folded and no ironing done – in Spanish. I got the shirts on hangers and they were ironed – for which there was an extra charge. 8. When I went to check out the night before I flew out, the guy at the front desk tried to charge me for water from the “mini-bar.” The problem is, there was no water in the mini-bar. It had only a couple canned drinks and some candy bars – none of which I touched. 9. The manager was very apologetic, but this was all just too much. She clearly has an inept staff. Most of them pretend to speak English, but they really don’t. 10. In fact the best person on the staff was the waiter in the restaurant. He didn’t pretend and we communicated fine. The cook/chef was also excellent.

I found the location a little odd and the road works on diagonal make it a night mare to get to from parque 93. When I stayed the construction work nearby was a nuisance noise wise. My room was nothing like the pictures. It had a double bed and room to walk around it. I was on the higher floors, where 2 rooms are located off one door. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is absolutely fine, but based on my experience I would not stay here again.
