“Prague center hotel”

Really nice hotel, great staff and location. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast in cafe Imperial was great. There is only one thing that I did not like was the noise from the public transport from the street, which wakes me to too early every morning.

We choose this hotel to celebrate my birthday and we were not disappointed. The hotel is in a good location, close to a large shopping mall, Lidl and easy walking distance to all the attractions. There are plenty of restaurants close by and bars on your doorstep. The tram stops are a short walk away plus an underground train station where you can travel all around Prague. The rooms was spacious and very quiet (a big thing for me) as all the corridors and rooms are carpeted. They are spotlessly clean and the bed linen is changed after 3 nights. I have never come across this before so on our 4th night the linen was all fresh before we checked out the following morning. The staff from the reception, restaurant, bar and cleaners are pleasant, polite and courteous. There is a small bar with reasonably priced drinks for an upmarket hotel. We eat in one night in the Imperial Restaurant, we were unaware the chef had won Professional Czech Master-chef so the menus were imaginative, well presented and tasty. We felt the prices here were excellent value for money and could not fault it. You should book ahead if you wish to dine in the evening as there is a 2-3 week lead for availability, a testament in itself. We found the breakfast had an excellent choice and the omelets made to order and served to you are the best I've ever tasted. We had an issue with our heating, the room was either too hot or cold with no happy medium but it didn't detract from our stay and the hotel tried to rectify the problem plus left us a bottle of Prosecco as an apology. A goodwill gestures like that goes a long way in creating good customer service. Whenever we visit Prague again we would not hesitate to book here.

The history of this hotel provides all the context for the vibe and decor. We stayed 3 nights and found our room very spacious, albeit dark with little lighting - not a comfortable room to lounge around in. We appreciated a comfortable bed, separate toilet room, and a large bathroom with a separate tub and shower, with deliciously scented toiletries. The included breakfast buffet at the famed Cafe Imperial was average in quality, choices, and staff. A large hotel catering to tour groups, it felt impersonal but efficient.
