I visited the Bowden over the weekend. The hotel was very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. I was attending a function there and the food was of a high standard. The hotel rooms were extremely clean & the beds were extremely comfortable. I think the only downside to the hotel is that the windows in the rooms could be opened fully and there for a long drop to the pavement below. Also there is lack of facilities for disabled from the function room there was no toilet facilities on that floor. Steep steps which I think any disabled person would struggle. So this is something to consider if your planning on visit here. But on the whole. A pleasant experience.

Just stopped in this hotel for three nights, welcoming reception staff. Very clean and tidy room. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast and again welcoming friendly staff. Just stopped in this hotel for three nights, welcoming reception staff. Very clean and tidy room. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast and again welcoming friendly staff. It’s even got a spa, with a nice pool area, sauna & steam room. A great hotel at an excellent price, which even included bottled water and coke. It’s just a short walk into the town centre which has a great selection of pubs and restaurants. If I need to go to the area again I will definitely be stopping at this hotel.
