Staff were friendly enough! The rooms were of a decent size and the beds are also pretty big, obviously you do not pay very much for the rooms and you get a basic but clean facility. The cleaners do tend to just enter in your room even if you say no, but I think this is more of a cultural thing! I also could not get the free breakfast as the staff do not really speak English!

I had visited SH for business purpose and I had stayed in the hotel for 10 days. Its an Express motel so dont expect any luxury (Not even a bell boy, you will have to carry your own luggage). Only the receptionist can speak little English while the rest staff speak only Chinese (Don't forget to download Chinese translator app in your smart phone). Majority of the guest are Chinese. I had opted for Executive room and size of the room was around 150 sq ft. Amenities are very basic and limited. There is no furniture in the room except a study table and side table to the bed. Bed was good and clean. There would be a TV in the room with only Chinese channels (So better brush up you Chinese). Bathroom is clean and hygienic. There was no water bottle served in the room however they mentioned that the bathroom has a drinking water tap which is safe for drinking (I liked this idea since there is no hassle of limited water and moreover you can always boil the water in tea kettle, just to be cautious of the safety). Wi-fi speed was good. Breakfast menu is very basic and you would need to get use to Chinese food. Ambience of the place is calm and private. The best part of the place is its location. You can reach any part of SH from here. All the tourist / party places or business places are close to it. Jiangsu Metro line is in its close proximity.
