The AKA is an ultra modern hotel with personalized customer service. The rooms are beautiful, the beds are comfortable and the staff is five star. Although I stayed here for a business trip, I would bring my family for a vacation just because of how much I love this hotel.

As an architect, I am a big fan of Italian architect and designer Piero Lissoni. I was thrilled to book my stay at the new Hotel AKA Alexandria, his first hotel in the U.S. and an Interior Design Magazine 2023 Best of Year Award Winner. I can tell you the hotel is gorgeous, and the design is beautiful. My stay exceeded my expectations because not only was the hotel gorgeous, but the service was fantastic. Stepping into the hotel feels like entering a different world. Quite a contrast with its historic Old Town Alexandria surroundings, the lobby and public spaces combine modern minimalist elegance and an art gallery vibe with a sense of spaciousness and tranquility. From the striking floating staircase and the meticulously curated artworks to the unique and magical Mamacloud lamp designed by Frank Gehry that floats above the lounge bar, every corner whispers sophistication. My room felt so spacious and comfortable, and the attention to detail is impeccable, from the stylish mid-century furnishings and soothing color palette to the comfortable bed and great amenities. I strongly believe that the AKA Alexandria is THE place to stay at when visiting Alexandria and a fantastic option for those visiting the Washington D.C area (just 20 minutes away from DC and just a 10-minute drive from the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport). I would definitely recommend it and would stay here again.
