“Stressful drive into the hotel, but well worth it!”

The family accommodation was interesting. Two separate bedrooms, a bathroom with 3 sinks and 3 showers, a separate lounge for sitting and another room with 3 separate toilets and 1 additional sink. The family accommodation was interesting. Two separate bedrooms, a bathroom with 3 sinks and 3 showers, a separate lounge for sitting and another room with 3 separate toilets and 1 additional sink. No “kitchen” facilities, microwave or mini fridge. The front desk staff would get ice whenever we needed, no issues. And they were very helpful with our luggage. The location is fabulous!! Views are stunning! Our rooms were on the 1st floor so only a couple steps up to get in. Breakfast was fresh and wonderful. We also had dinner at the hotel, and some enjoyed a local craft beer or two. The patio area near the wall is a comfortable place to hang out and relax. Getting to the hotel and parking near the hotel is another thing. You must drive through the gates of the walled city, very narrow, making 2 very sharp turns or walk in, uphill, with your luggage. It took us about an hour to figure out how to get inside. A local finally told us it’s ok to drive down the do not enter, very narrow, one-way “roads”. Also, the cobble stone is very slippery when wet. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the staff fantastic! The location is perfect! And now that we know how to enter, we will be back for a longer stay!

This is an hotel with old-world charm within the walls of the old city Obidos. We were in a Queen room within the main hotel and had plenty of space and lovely hot water shower. It was very clean and well appointed. Ricardo was very helpful and kind upon our arrival and helped us have a great experience through his recommendations. Breakfast was ample with cooked as well as continental options. The cobbles are a challenge for luggage so we suggest that you pack a smaller bag for your stay and lock your luggage in the trunk of your car. The parking area was safe.

Pro - Location within the walled town - friendly staff - large pleasant room - large (table and chairs) balcony looking out onto trees and the town wall - wifi worked - buffet breakfast with outdoor seating in better weather - common lounge area Con - little wardrobe or storage space, four hangers - poor sound insulation to neighbouring room - noise including amplified recorded music from the hotel's café-restaurant outdoor seating area when the balcony door was open - ineffective heating - hot water took a while to reach the room - noisy bathroom fan can be heard in the bedroom - to programme your code into the safe you need to press the red button inside; this is located within the battery compartment under a cover
