“Best staff in Hanoi”

Lovely central cheap hotel in the very center of the old town. The staff are incredibly friendly and reccomend brilliant restaurants. The rooms are simple, clean and have good aircon and wifi. Made our stay lovely.

The business card says Silver Legend Hotel. Our last night in Hanoi required cheaper accommodation as we required 3 rooms. Price was reasonable, rooms were large and clean, and location was great in the old quarter, a short walk from Ma May St and the walking street markets. Staff were great for the little time we had and organised an airport taxi for 7am. Charged for the bottled water though, should have been free at the room price.

What I love from this hotel is their exemplary accommodation to your needs. The owner and all the staff provide exceptional service. All our inquiries regarding tours, accommodation & airport shuttle were immediately responded thru email. Our complains were promptly addressed by the staff. Breakfast is serve buffet style, not in a very large selection and quantity but is ample and filling. Some rooms were musty and concern for cleanliness can be an area for improvement, as well as their décor( I can’t get pass the butterfly stickers all over our room including the bathroom.) We were four couples who stayed in this hotel, we paid the same amount for different types & size of room. Some were really small and had a small window facing the wall. During our first night, the air-conditioning was not functioning well so on the second day, they transferred us to a better, bigger & cleaner room. This is a budget friendly hotel. You get what you paid for. Try to get the details of your room before booking, because you pay the same amount for different types of room. I suggest you add a little for a better room. Get the one facing the street, it is noisier but they have a porch and bigger windows.

“Reasonable”

We stayed at this hotel upon return from Ha Long Bay and found this hotel to be very basic. It was clean and simple - air con, fridge, wi fi. No complaints however we felt our previous hotel just down the street was better value for money.
