The hotel is located in one of those parsidic places of the planet. While the average stay is around 2 to 4 nights I stayed 6 nights. Had a full board. The food is good and have many choices. All the meals are Buffett. The sea is wondefull, calm , crystalline clear and the water is warm. The hotel provides snorkeling equipment rental for the full stay at a single price. Also have, twice daily, free boat snorkeling tours for the guests, just need to go to the peer nearby at the schedule time. From the beach snorkeling can be done and for the more experienced ones if you go along the rocks at the right side of the beach, you will have a reasonable display of corals and fishes. I saw over there a black tip reef shark, still small, and a full grown barracuda, that scared me a lot. Later after talking to the locals they told me that is a local barracuda and already become "vegetarian". This after start feeding of the remains of shark feeding food released by a dive center near by.... But I don't trust, the animal is 1 meter more long and it's a beautiful specimen. Also have giant monitor lizards in the facilities, don't worry they don't care about you, but don't go pad them, also lots of squirrels and giant bats, really giant bats, size of a cat. They have warnings for the monkeys in the windows of the bedroom but I didn't see them. At night they have a music show that sometimes is too much....I stayed in a SeaView bedroom and could hear the music "very well" inside the room at night. Will I come again. A big YES, the place it's an unique offer and can say a bargain for the price. Comparable to Maldives in beach terms with 1/4 of the price.

This is our 4th family trip (2A2C) to Laguna Redang for the past 10 years. Still impressed with their effort to maintain the beaches, the facilities and expanding additional services like the massage centre and the DIY T-Shirt shop. Few comments to the management for considerations: 1. Since there are quite a number of ongoing efforts on "Green" movements, I would like to suggest for the management to replace the plastic bottled waters with centralized water dispensers at every block of the rooms. Perhaps the resort could levy a daily extra charge for provision of drinking water instead. I will be more than happy to pay, as over our stay of 4 nights our family generated quite a significant amount of plastic bottles; 2. Food selection at the resort - There was a new food court set up at the recreation centre. Nonetheless, I would like to propose for the resort to consider putting in a decent western food joint. This will definitely be welcomed by children who preferred Pizzas, various selection of burgers, & pastas. These western food varieties were not a daily menu at the buffet restaurant. Also could consider novelty F&B outlets like Bubble Teas, Specialty coffee joints etc. I wasn't able to get a good cup of coffee or tea during our stay there :( ;

“If you are looking for peace & silence, run away from this place!”

Big hotel (it has more that 1000 rooms), everything is studied and organized in details but with a huge focus for Asian clients. If you are looking for silence and for resting… forget about it. Big hotel (it has more that 1000 rooms), everything is studied and organized in details but with a huge focus for Asian clients. If you are looking for silence and for resting… forget about it. During our stay there was also a firm seminar and of course nobody informed us about it..it was crazy. The paradisiac vibes of the island completely lost due to this seminar. Concerning the food, it is below average and once again with a huge focus for Asian clientele. The rooms are big but with a strange smell which is impacting the smell of your luggage’s and personal affairs. The hotel does not offer any interesting trips so I suggest to go to the jetty or along the beach to find one since there are nice spots that need to be visited ! Private boats are quite expensive if you are just two, but you can easily find someone else to join the excursion. If I come back to Redang once day, I will definitely choose another hotel and envoy the chill vibes (finally!)

“Good hotel, but too big, crowded and definitely overpriced.”

The hotel is nice, quite big and with a beautiful pool, which is a plus if you have little kids. We had a good stay overall, but should I come back to Redang I would choose one of the other resorts, that are less pretentious but have a better value-for-money ratio. The hotel is nice, quite big and with a beautiful pool, which is a plus if you have little kids. We had a good stay overall, but should I come back to Redang I would choose one of the other resorts, that are less pretentious but have a better value-for-money ratio. Also, since the resort is quite big, you feel a bit like you’re in one of those noisy and crowded “all inclusive” villages that completely lack the feel of the place you’re actually visiting. The buffet restaurant is always packed and noisy, and quality of the food is less than average. On a positive point: the staff has always been kind and helpful with is. In the end, I would not recommend this resort since you have better options around.
