We had the Rambla Catalunya first floor apartment, for one night in May; it was clean comfortable and affordable; ideal for a family visit to central Barcelona, due to its location.The decoration and fittings were modern and tasteful, it was a very enjoyable stay. Eating out was very easy, the Rambla has many good restaurants.

“Perfect! Don't know what all the fuss is about!”

I have just taken a Hen Do of 14 girls to Barcelona and after the reading the other reviews I was expecting the worse. I bought a load of extra hen do decorations (banners, streamers and balloons) to brighten the place up. However I was extremely surprised to find the apartments were lovely! The living area was nicely deocorated with a little bit of character. The whole place was clean and two bathrooms was a god send with 14 girls! The bedrooms all had twin beds, which again surprised me as I expected a few sofa beds and everything was there that we needed. Yes the area is a bit dodgy, but if you have read up on Barcelona you should already know that. It also very centrally located, just off La Rambla, so its an ideal location for sightseeing. Inside our apartments we felt very safe. The only tiny thing I could complain about is that we would have liked more keys. 4 sets of keys between 14 wasn't enough. I would highly recommend these apartments.

“Much Better than expected”

After reading previous reviews I wasn't expecting much but was very happily surprised the rooms were big and very clean, a fully equipped kitchen, the only let down was the hot water didn't last for more than 5 showers and the street it's down isn't the best. As long as you stay in groups or get a taxi back it will be fine. The alley was is locked after 11pm so you don't get any "dodgy" people trying get in The location is great, 2 minutes walk to the main roads and 10 minutes to the beach with a lot of bars, clubs and restaurants on the way. Definitely worth staying!

“underwhelming”

We booked this as we were travelling with 2 kids. The rooms are spacious but the facility is obviously run on a shoe string budget . WE had to ask for more toilet paper , a broom to sweep the place, a sponge to clean the sink , 2 chairs so we could use the dining room table . They advertise free pa… more

We booked this as we were travelling with 2 kids. The rooms are spacious but the facility is obviously run on a shoe string budget . WE had to ask for more toilet paper , a broom to sweep the place, a sponge to clean the sink , 2 chairs so we could use the dining room table . They advertise free parking which is next to impossible to find unless the staff show you where and how to get in . They simply told us to drive and park underneath but that takes a 10 minute drive and there are no signs . So the initial gent that checked us in didn't explain . After 30 min driving around trying to get back to the building we once again went to the reception and explained we can get in . Then a more intelligent Spainish young man explained how to get in finally . The initial gent not Spainish was clueless . The place is not so clean so all in all we didn't enjoy our stay and left a day early !

“Well located, but pretty basic facilities and slimy showers.”

The apartment was spacious in that it slept 8, but it was pretty basic. There are two bathrooms which is great, but they are not particularly clean and the showers were slimy and didn't drain properly. There was never hot water for more than a few minutes, but as it was hot it wasn't a big problem.… more

The apartment was spacious in that it slept 8, but it was pretty basic. There are two bathrooms which is great, but they are not particularly clean and the showers were slimy and didn't drain properly. There was never hot water for more than a few minutes, but as it was hot it wasn't a big problem. The location was great near La Rambla, but it was very noisy at night because of people shouting in the street and people in the other apartments. The apartment is pretty secure with heavy duty locks, but you have to lock yourself in which is a bit of a fire hazard. Overall not bad.
