Positives: 1. The hotel is attached to Crown Plaza with which it shares restaurants and gym facilities and indoor pool. It is centrally located, accross the road from pedestrian shopping area. 2. Our room was spaceous, nicely furnished (altough the furniture looked dated) with safe, flat screen TV and fridge. 3. Free toiletries were provided. 4. Complementary bottle of water per person and kettle in the room plus tea and coffee. 5. Excellent breakfast - wide varierty of Chinese and western food available. Negatives: 1. Shower was dirty and so were the tiles in the bathroom. 2. Not enough lights in the room - it was very dark. 3. Very slow WiFi.

“Comfortable, Western-style hotel ”

My wife and I stayed here one night in October 2018. It is downtown next to the Crown Plaza (they share the same entrance). Check in was easy and the staff friendly. WiFi is free (and password-free). My wife and I stayed here one night in October 2018. It is downtown next to the Crown Plaza (they share the same entrance). Check in was easy and the staff friendly. WiFi is free (and password-free). Our room was reminiscent of a 2000’s Marriott, but with a smaller bathroom (see photograph). It did not have a great view as were were too low (2nd floor). Higher rooms likely have better views.

“No smiling staff however rooms were good enough”

Stayed for 2 nights. Needed the help of our guide to sort a deposit. They wanted to take the money (800 Yuan) off a card and then refund on leaving. This would have involved us with fees for 2 currency transactions. They then accepted 200 Yuan in cash which was refunded inside 5 minutes on check ou… more

Stayed for 2 nights. Needed the help of our guide to sort a deposit. They wanted to take the money (800 Yuan) off a card and then refund on leaving. This would have involved us with fees for 2 currency transactions. They then accepted 200 Yuan in cash which was refunded inside 5 minutes on check out. Rooms were OK and you have use of the pool in the adjacent hotel BUT you needed a voucher for each visit and a swimming cap - which the pool attendant eventually provided as we did not have any. Good central location with a good choice of restaurants although very little English spoken. We asked our guide for a note with a few dishes on it and fewer spices (as many dishes are very spicy to our western palate).
