I just spent 5 days at this hotel and was not sure what to expect after reading some of the less than flattering reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. I reserved a kitchenette, which included a full size fridge, 2 burner stove, and a microwave above the sink. There are a few pans, and plates and bowls and coffee cups, as well as a 4 cup coffee maker with stainless steel pot and a toaster in the room. The room was very clean, and the bed was super comfy and about 2 feet thick. :-) The pillows were just right, and the bathroom has been upgraded with beautiful marble shower enclosure and lovely rainfall shower head and accompanying hand held sprayer as well. The dressers and tables in the room aren't fancy, but functional, so not an issue. I did have to request a remote for the TV, but once that was secured, was able to enjoy a bit of TV at the end of the day. The breakfast isn't fancy, but was tasty, hitting the spot. My hat off to the staff! With one exception, all were super helpful and pleasant, and the manager Muhammad was wonderful! They take their job seriously, and go out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. Lastly, the grounds are well maintained, and they have private security that patrols the hotel grounds and the street along the perimeter throughout the night. Parking was a bit challenging, as there are no assigned spaces, but managed to get a good spot each night of my stay to accommodate one of my dogs who requires stairs to get into and out of my vehicle. When traveling, my 2 dogs always go with me, so was happy to find such a nice hotel that would allow them. Their rates are excellent, around the same as the large 'bargain' hotel chain that leaves the light on for you, but WAY nicer. Suffice it to say, when I go back to visit my family in the area again, will be staying at the Hawthorn Suites again.

“Nice little hidden gem!”

Great Price and Clean! Friendly staff! They were professional and explained things. I definitely liked the sofa bed and table to eat in the room. It's also nice to become a rewards member to get discounts or even free nights. The app was straight forward which needed little explanation.

The overall stay was okay but didn’t quite meet expectations. The breakfast was just average, with limited options and nothing particularly memorable. Unfortunately, the room cleanliness was below expectations; it didn’t match the quality shown in the pictures, which was disappointing. Additionally, the breakfast pantry staff lacked warmth and friendliness, making the morning experience less pleasant. Overall, the stay could have been improved in several areas, especially with better room upkeep and a more welcoming atmosphere from the staff.
