“Yes, Balmoral on York is recommended.”
We (a couple) stayed at Balmoral on York for one night on 3 Dec 2024. Location is excellent - close t City (can walk). Parking was off-street and safe. “Great Stay”
Excellent location, restaurants near by and central. Staff very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. Room clean and the bed comfortable. We had breakfast down stairs and it consisted of a hot breakfast as well as the continental breakfast. just what we needed in the morning. Highly recommend… more

“Launceston, just the right size. Balmoral very central.”
Enjoyed our stay, particularly the breakfast. Our first floor room had a lovely little balcony. Rooms somewhat dated but clean and new owner Tim has a refurbishment plan which will spruce things up. “Professional demould and heating repaired would fix issues”
Fridge in 1st floor room did not work, at max contents stayed room temp. Cleaner explained I had small heater so main heating didn’t “need to work”. Nasty to shower under black ceiling mould - a job too much for the room cleaner. Needs professional de-moulding.
