Just returned from an enjoyable stay at Eden Apartments. The resort is billed as 3 star and this is a fair rating. The hotel and grounds are well kept given the age - you need to be realistic that you’ll see signs of wear and tear around you. The resort has free Wi-Fi, which was strong in our room, but was hit and miss around the pool / restaurant (where there are rooms) so your experience of the Wi-Fi may differ from mine. TVs in the room can be streamed to. So if you subscribe to Prime, Netflix, Disney you can view these from your room. Rooms are apartments so you get a little kitchen area, fridge / freezer, kettle etc. Bedrooms are separate to the lounge, which is nice as you have space to relax. We paid extra for a swim up room and I’m glad we did. This meant we had our own little section of a pool in the afternoon / evening. The main pool gets busy and if you want a sun bed here you’ll need to beat our European cousins out of bed in the morning as they’re swift with their towels. We spent our days on the solarium - rooftop bathing - which is adults only and therefore quieter. There’s no shade here and you get the sun all day. The resort is popular with Scandinavian couples and families - us Brits were very much in a minority (although not necessarily a bad thing). There is an on-site supermarket, or you can walk round the corner to the Europa Centre where you’ll find a slightly bigger supermarket (same company though). The all inclusive is 1100 to 2300. You can serve yourself beer and soft drinks, but it’s the usual small plastic cups you get at moment resorts (so you’ll need a couple of everything to quench your thirst). Meal times can get busy if you go at popular times (queues are mostly down to people dithering). There was always plenty of food to choose from so no complaints there. Staff were polite and quick at clearing tables. As the resort is up high toward the mountains the moisture and damp is really noticeable in the evenings. Don’t leave your towels out overnight as they won’t dry. Our return flight was in the evening and room check out is 1200. Unfortunately we couldn’t keep our room on but the resort has luggage storage and male / female shower rooms to get ready in. If all inclusive you can also eat / drink right up until you leave (after checking out). Overall, it was a very peaceful and relaxing week here. Definitely good value for what we paid.

Lovely apartment, swim up pool ideal. Really good food and the all inclusive drinks are OK, but only 3 cocktails available. The entertainment is a bit rubbish but the dj does try his best. Lovely apartment, swim up pool ideal. Really good food and the all inclusive drinks are OK, but only 3 cocktails available. The entertainment is a bit rubbish but the dj does try his best. Karaoke only for half an hour, and the bar shuts at 11. A lot of Dutch, German and Swedish guests go , never seen such a miserable bunch of people on holiday. Michael the older bar tender was very rude , almost to the point of slamming drinks down on the bar. Supermarket on site which is open until 10pm which is very handy. Would I go again to the Eden apartments, I would not .

On arrival all windows were open, spent the next 2 days trying to get rid of small insects. Kitchen was fully equipped with cups,plates, cutlery etc but no air conditioning. The front door frame wasn't in great condition and looked like it was just hanging on (Room 25). Never stayed in a hotel with no phone in the room and where reception shuts 10pm-9am!! Furniture on balcony was a fantastic idea, unfortunately table and chairs were dirty,and lots of flies around. Food repetitive and not always hot, not replenished quickly either, very small area for eating meals. Solarium was a godsend, with tables by the beds and spaced out, just dont look at the handrail going up the steps, could def do with replacing!! Sunbeds around the pool area are placed right next to eachother, no space to move. Shuttle bus to Amadores Beach was great and beach is beautiful. Not too sure I'd give it a 3*, but was a pleasant week in the sun, but wouldn't return.

Last day at Eden Apartments. Honest and balanced review Nice selection of food but some food cold, not regularly replenished and plates usually cold Canteen style restaurant, very small for the size of the hotel and only.a handful of tables for more than 2 people (and these were mostly occupied by 2 people) so often groups of 3,4 and 5 had to squeeze on a table for 2, think thats the clientele the hotel attracts Staff worked really hard but usually only 2 waiting staff on so you had to often clear and clean the tables yourself prior to eating Plenty of sunbeds, always found 4 together irrelevant of time of day Acts - some good (Divas were excellent), others quite poor Had a swim up room which was really nice. All rooms are big and very clean AI cocktails were non existent, 3 available and all made up with sugar and tasted awful. We had to pay 5 euros for a Regular cocktail Bar service very quick, no long queues Saw manager being tipped so he looked after a large party and reserved them tables Free shuttle bus to beach which is definitely worth a visit - its a gorgeous beach with lots of shops We visited the day spa at the beach, 60/70 euros for 2 including a bottle of wine and well worth it, very luxurious and got you away fro sunbeams packed like sardines TUi transfer stopped at 8 stops before us, letting off only 1 or 2 passengers so it took over 90 mins to get to the hotel, its a rollercoaster of a ride so if you don't like heights bring a blindfold. We did enjoy our stay but would not go back, think it was overpriced based on the quality
