Finally, after 5 years (due to health issues), I was well enough to visit Jagerwirt once more. This time though, sadly, to say goodbye, as we had learned the hotel was about to close its doors for the final time in September! We stayed for a week, beginning 17th August 2019. A few familiar faces where there to greet us such as Alex, Inge and George, as well as some newer staff members. We were given a quiet, spacious room with a balcony and fantastic views of the river and mountains. It was wonderful drifting off to sleep each night to the sound of the flowing water. The staff and service, as always, was excellent! The staff truly are some of the nicest people we have ever met. They are hard working, helpful, friendly and always had good humour. They are a credit to the hotel and completely made the whole experience extra special! We are so pleased that the majority of staff have now found new places of employment, once Jagerwirt closes and we wish them every success for the future! It's quite sad to think that Jagerwirt will close very shortly and no longer be the hotel we have come to love. However, we do carry such wonderful memories of both our stays - 2014 and 2019 - the friendships that we made, the places we visited and the all round Austrian experience...truly fantastic!! To Alex and ALL your staff...we will miss you all, but have so many wonderful memories...VIELEN DANK!!! Lee and Graham

“Lovely stay...lovely Hotel!”

We stayed in this Hotel for a week commencing 17.08.2019. Our room on the 3rd floor was very spacious and had excellent views from the balcony of the Hahnenkamn. We stayed in this Hotel for a week commencing 17.08.2019. Our room on the 3rd floor was very spacious and had excellent views from the balcony of the Hahnenkamn. The food throughout our stay was excellent.Of the five course meals that we had every night I do not recall one course I did not enjoy!. The service at the restaurant was friendly and efficient with no frustrating waiting. The reception and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The Pool area was great....not overcrowded as some places I have been. Overall we had a great stay in this truly lovely Hotel!

Just left jagerwirt today ,to be fair ,it was everything it was sold as .The location has stunning mountain views and whilst its quiet,its also very handy for shops and other amenities. “Lovely hotel- shame it’s closing ”

This is a lovely hotel but is closing in 3 weeks time. This is a shame as it would be a great ski hotel, well located for main lifts and with a good pool and sauna. This is a lovely hotel but is closing in 3 weeks time. This is a shame as it would be a great ski hotel, well located for main lifts and with a good pool and sauna. We’ve just returned from a 2 week stay for a summer hotel booked through Tui. I didn’t think the food was brilliant, but it was decent and occasionally excellent. Soups in particular were really good and you certainly never left feeling hungry. After 2 weeks it’s always going to feel a bit samey. Our room had been recently refurbished and was very spacious with a nice sized balcony to enjoy a supermarket beer early evening. What really makes this hotel is the staff, from reception to the restaurant staff particularly Theresa, George, Denise and Wanda. They are really friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they’re all super efficient. However this review is all a bit pointless as the hotel is closing in September, allegedly because they need to spend too much to make it viable to continue, to bring it up to new Austrian fire reg standards. I don’t know if that’s true and hopefully someone will buy it as it’s a great little hotel. Thanks to all the staff (and some fellow guests we met) for a lovely holiday. L, N and Z.
