“Very good!”

Good service, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Nice pool on the roof. 1,25 m depth and kids area. Easy to reach Venice by bus and water bus. About one hour. 50 m from the beach. Free umbrella and beds on the beach. 40-50 min to airport Marco Polo by taxi.

“Helpful staff”

Excellent food and service. There are 2 flights of steps to get to the reception and no rampor porterage, which makes it difficult to get suitcases in. “Lovely family run hotel”

We stayed in this hotel for two nights as the first stop on a tour of Italian Cities. It is a very friendly family run hotel and we were made to feel very welcome. We stayed in this hotel for two nights as the first stop on a tour of Italian Cities. It is a very friendly family run hotel and we were made to feel very welcome. The entrance is up two flights of steps so is quite a job getting a coach load of tourists into the hotel with cases. Despite the wait for the lift our room was fine, very basic but comfortable. The room only had a shower but it was very good. Plenty of hot water and terry towels. The breakfast choice was very good with fruit and toast and the usual continental selection. There was also scrambled egg and bacon although we did not try this. The evening meal had a choice of main courses which were well cooked. The salmon was very good. We had the usual pasta for starter followed by a lovely salad buffet, every type you could want. The deserts were delicious too. The wine was cheap at 2 euros a glass. The hotel is a few yards from the beach with its own sun beds, also a small rooftop pool which looked very nice.

“good location for Venice”

Oct 2012 - the Hotel Nelson waslocated 50 meters from the beach in Lido De Jesolo and ideally located for a short taxi ride to the ferry across to Venice and also the seaside resort of Jesolo. Hotel average 3 star food was good but service was slow as all food cooked to order - no buffet. The rooms were fine small but average but clean. The hotel is a red square family run building not on the seafront but a short walk to the promanade. It's all fine if you want a budget holiday. Lido De Jesolo does its trade in the summer months and when we were there October most everything including most of the other hotels were closed and there was little to do so choose your time there carefully.
