“Very good dining experience”

Visited restaurant after a long stressful drive, was made very welcome by Eraldo, had pork belly and a nice glass of Malbec, lovely staff and atmosphere made by the friendly staff, didn’t feel rushed and enjoyed relaxing. Thank you Eraldo :)

I want to give a massive thankssss to the team of the George. Carla,Daisy,Spencer and Joey x Gorgeous group of people, made my time at the George amazing and really made me feel at home. Carla even done me a very thoughtful gesture about a celebration moment I had at my time here, and really made me feel special, So thank you Carla. Joey the host mainly at the front desk, again so friendly and kind and really understanding even let me keep my room the following week. The staff made my time here and I hope we made theirs. Thank uuuuuu xx Ps. Cauliflower bites were banging.

“Really enjoyed our stay”

Visited for 2 nights. Lovely hotel. Staff at reception were lovely. Only a few things were disappointing. Visited for 2 nights. Lovely hotel. Staff at reception were lovely. Only a few things were disappointing. First I ordered the salmon on the first night with spinach,red pepper sauce and a potato rosti for almost £20. I found the portion to be on the small side and the potato rosti didn't taste of anything and didn't look appetising. My partner had the Sunday roast though and he said this was lovely. Service at breakfast was slow. On our 2nd morning one of the staff serving breakfast looked absolutely miserable, had a face on her and wasn't friendly when serving/taking orders. It wasn't busy, it was quite quiet. They had no juice out, ran out of eggs so we couldn't have what we wanted at breakfast. The cooked breakfast on our first morning was nice though. The bedroom was nice, clean, comfy bed,but fixed windows that didn't open so couldn't get any fresh air and was dripping with condensation in the morning. Kettle wouldn't switch off so just kept boiling unless you switched it off. Bathroom was clean. No lift in hotel so if you're disabled or need a lift at all it's no good. Good location right in the centre. Room was quiet. Parking is behind hotel so you have to walk all way around to front, no back entrance to hotel. dog poo all along the path down the side of the hotel so had to take suitcases and walk on the road to avoid dog poo. The hotel is decorated lovely. We did enjoy our stay. I would stay there again.
