This hotel is a gem. It’s in the most beautiful setting, the grounds and inside are immaculate and everything is thoughtfully decorated and arranged. But the thing that sets this place apart is the owners and their team. We were half board and Gloria made us the most delicious dinners, made with fresh local ingredients and lots of courses! Breakfast was a great choice of fruit, bread, meats and cheeses, again, everything was fresh and tasty. We were relaxed and spoilt throughout and nothing was too much trouble - one of the staff even fixed our bike! Would highly recommend.

Set in the countryside approx 45 mins by car East of Girona airport you will struggle to find a better choice of accommodation within the whole of Europe, and I have travelled extensively to Spain and beyond. With only 8 rooms the service and hospitality are overwhelming, the rooms are beautiful and each individually decorated, two of the rooms are on the ground floor should access be a problem. With a relaxed feel simply grab any outside table you wish, move it into the morning sun and enjoy a wonderful breakfast outside, fresh juice, cold meats, fruit, breads, cheeses and self serve coffee are all available, in addition the kind waitress (Corina) will ask if you wish for eggs and bacon. The breakfast is without fault. Indoor seating is available in the dining room. By filling in a menu choice form in the room giving notice an evening meal can be booked, I did not avail of this but it did smell lovely, approx €30 pp. We arrived late evening and the wonderful hosts with the help of the newly appointed receptionist Adrianna (excuse the spelling, a special mention to her, very helpful, polite and charming) were able to rustle us up some wonderful Spanish Ham and bread (at a cost) They operate an ‘honesty box’ approach to access to the mini bar and some drinks, you simply fill in a sheet with your room number and what you taken. There is no ‘bar’ as such, we simply bought our own gin / tonic and placed our ice in the freezer, used the glasses from the breakfast room and worked away, class! Although I did not avail, the pool is beautiful, clean with sun loungers available and thatched type shade permanent ‘umbrellas’ perhaps if you have young ones to avoid the sun. Another 15 / 20mins to the east you will find beaches, including nudist. The countryside is beautiful with small Medieval towns scattered throughout. There are a few bars / restaurants within 15 mins drive and a large BP petrol station within 10 mins for small provisions. Gloria and Carles are super hosts with their staff being a full credit to them. A car is necessary for this venue, very quiet atmosphere which would suit romantic couples or a family requiring a base from which to explore, they have 2 bikes to hire. NB there are approx 5 small dogs which are so friendly, they will come visit you at breakfast for tit bits. Both my partner and myself had a wonderful experience at Mas Rabiol and fully intend to revisit asap. Highly recommended, between you and me........just go!

“Hiking in Spain”

We looked forward to our visit to Mas Rabiol and were not disappointed. We had the best time at this hotel, the food was excellent, the FarmHouse and room were awesome, Gloria and her husband were always there to help even when not expected. I really don't know how the experience could be improved.

“Cannot recommend”

This hotel is more of a B&B. It is an old farm house surrounded by a nicely landscaped lawn. It is well located for exploring the Catalan countryside. This hotel is more of a B&B. It is an old farm house surrounded by a nicely landscaped lawn. It is well located for exploring the Catalan countryside. One of the nice things about staying in a B&B is speaking to the owner and getting to know more about the area. The owner of this property does not speak English, was missing for most of our stay and could not give us any information about the area. There are probably other properties that would be better suited for foreign guests.
