“The Cherrypickers: worth the climb up the hill!”

We stayed here on the last night of an August bank holiday break walking the coast path. Each of us had what was effectively a suite of rooms, with enormous (and very comfortable) beds, powerful showers, and a kitchen for making those all-important cups of tea. Lorraine really put herself out to make us at home, even meeting us with our luggage at the station after our walk the following day. Breakfast, with home made fruit cup, was delicious. If you go anywhere in Mevagissey, you have to climb a hill, but the peaceful location – in the middle of a quiet estate – and the welcome made it worth it. We booked dinner at the popular Salamander restaurant, which justified its reputation by serving delicious fresh fish with unfussy efficiency.

She even joined us for drinks in the village on saturday night. Theres a parking spot available per room. A kitchen to make food or a cuppa when you like, a fridge for your food. “Excellent find”

Me and my partner stayed here over New Year and booked last minute. The only room left had a private bathroom and not ensuite (my partner was really jubious when I booked it as he is finickey),However the private bathroom was very private and right near the bedroom, there was no need for him to worry as the layout worked perfectly. The Cherrypickers was spotlessly clean throughout and had a kitchen we could use which was stocked with tea and coffee. The breakfast was excellent. The bed was really comfortable and the room was a lovely size. it really did have a home from home feel. Lorraine was an amazing host who couldn't have been more accomadating. The location is within walking distance to the village and the upside was that it was very quiet and we were not woken up by the seagulls in the morning or the bars at night, which can only be a bonus! We would recommend The Cherrypickers to friends and will be booking again.

“Outstanding Bed and Breakfast!!!!!”

My partner and I stayed at The Cherrypickers in September 2012, and genuinely cannot recommend it highly enough. The room was absolutely fantastic!!! It was exceptionally large (at least 20ft!!) unbelievably well appointed and really could not be faulted in any way. As if this was not enough, we also had a seperate kitchen at our disposal, stocked with tea, coffee, milk, bread and biscuits!!!! Also making up part of our room was a very large sitting/dining area with a full sized dining table for 6, and patio doors leading onto the garden. The en-suite bathroom was meticulously clean and appeared to have only just been fitted, and to a high standard. It was very well equipped and truly had the largest and most efficient shower I have ever seen!!!! We had our own seperate front door, well away from the owners entrance, so felt we really could come and go at our leisure. The owner Lorraine was very friendly and welcoming, provided lots of local information and cooked a very nice breakfast!! All this at an incredibly competitive price. I have never stayed at such a large and well appointed Bed and Breakfast, and urge you, If you are staying in this part of Cornwall, I really do suggest you look nowhere else, you will not find better!!
