“This was a calm, quiet, warm and comfortable oasis in a charming old house in the centre of York.”
This was such a quiet, clean, comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The breakfast was of excellent quality and beautifully cooked. The room and bathroom were very spacious with little added extras which were much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.

Been to 23 St Mary's on many occasions and never been disappointed. Excellent service as usual from friendly helpful staff, and always a very good breakfast, never left any food yet and we're fussy eaters. “Looking forward to our next visit.”
Our second stay here, found the staff to be very friendly, our room was warm and cosy and very clean. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of items on the menu to choose from. Only a short walk in to York and the train station. Would definately recommend.
