When we booked the hotel we were told that there were only 2 rooms left. But as it turned out, we were the only guests except for one more couple. At first they gave us a room on the top floor of the main house, an old palazzo that has been beautifully restored. However, since it faced the street we asked for a quieter room and were moved to the annex, a new building. It was a very nicely appointed room with a very stylish bathroom - so stylish that there was no place to put our toiletries, no shelf of any kind, only the sink itself. The restaurant on the ground floor was as empty as the hotel, so no noise problem. Breakfast was good. Going to Venice takes about 40 minutes on the bus from nearby Dolo, costs 8 Euros round-trip. Since it was Sunday, we did not have to pay for parking in Dolo near the bus stop. For us it was the perfect place to spend the night, just curious that not more people take advantage of the location and the very reasonable price.

The villa is beautifully restored, the rooms are great, the service is incredible. Great breakfast. The only drawback was the painfully slow free wifi. We will be back!

This is a perfectly pleasant place to stay, but in reality it isn't very much more than an upmarket B&B tacked on to an upmarket restaurant. We were given a simple, colourful room, with a simple colourful bathroom. but the décor isn't hugely sophisticated. I make these points because it seemed a little expensive for what we got, and the breakfast was poor and meagre. There aren't many facilities. But, all that said, I would probably stay here again if I needed to be in Sambruson. It is clean and bright. Also worth commenting that there was no English language television. I think one expects a little more from a four-star.
