My wife and I(and our dog!) had a night at Hotel Marjani(Wennigsen) on the way from the UK to Poland. Unfortunately,we hit the afternoon rush hour and heavy rain showers around Antwerp and arrived 3 hours later than expected at 11.30pm. We phoned ahead to the hotel and the manager was very friendly and helpful and left our keys at reception with instructions for arrival. The hotel was easy to find with satellite navigation and the road good. The car park was quiet,but looked safe and with plenty or room. The hotel is opposite a Mc Donalds and we passed an Italian Restaurant in Wennigsen main street, the restaurant, about a 5 minute walk from the hotel I should think. The room was comfortable and clean and with windowns that can be opened for fresh air,which was good,as it was a warm evening.The bathroom was clean too,with fresh towels and liquid soap. Next morning ,we both had the buffet breakfast at 6Euro each. A very good stay and would recommend to those travelling across Germany,or staying in Hannover if you have a car.About 14km from Hannover. Not to be mistaken with another Hotel named Marjani in Hannover itself! Tip-avoid Antwerp ring road in the afternoon rush hours! The rest of the trip was easy in comparison to that awful experience!

Conveniently located off the main B217 highway, accessibility is good,as is public transport(500 m to bus stop ,2 km to train station) with departure every 30 minutes during the daytime. Being a budget Hotel, which is normally frequented by truckers and travelling workers, a guest should not expect a Walldorf Astoria. The rooms are clean, simple and ok, as is the breakfast buffet. Outside of Messe times, the price is quite apropriate. I guess the increment in price during Trade Fair times is owed to the perpetual shortage of accommodation in the Hannover area. There is a new Bar and breakfast room inside as well as a beer garden outside. The owner is visibly making efforts to improve,but seems to be facing challenges in finding qualified workers.

The hotel is located at a quite place with a supermarket on the other side of the street, although is located too far away from the center of Hannover. And this is the worst about the hotel. The hotel is cozy itself. The management is familiar, with a nice welcome. Recently, the owners of the hotel opened a bar on the garden of the hotel. Very good for socialization. The room was ok, cleaned and ready for sleep. The room included a tv and two chairs and a little table simulating a staying room. The hotel is a traditional German house with a tall and triangular roof, good for an experience on the German traditional houses (more if you stay in the top floor as I did).

The actual location of the place had its good and bad points - wasnt too far away from Hanover if you had a car, if you didnt, it was definitely too far out. It was however, just a walk across the road from McDonalds, and a small grocery store was just around the corner! When we arrived, I had to phone the owner to let us into the hotel (which wasnt that great) but it had free wireless internet which made up for that. Room was small, and bathroom was small, but that is part of the small price we paid.
