Whilst our taxi driver was unsure how to find the Floroom apartments, we found that they were in a great neighbourhood 400 yards away from Ponte Vecchio, close to some great restaurants and ideally located just off a little square where we had the best ice cream of our trip! (Recommendations include the chocolate orange and pistachio flavours). A short walk away was Gusto - the best pizza we've ever eaten by far and Osteria Gusto near by where we had the best Italian meal to date if you're looking for great restaurants. The apartment itself was perfect for what we needed - reasonably priced for five nights, centrally located and the free wifi and free breakfast bar/fridge were great to keep us fed and watered in the mornings. We liked the fact you don't have to check in, just had a code to access the building and didn't come in to contact with hardly anybody across the week which is where some of the negative reviews have come from. Be prepared for smaller sized rooms which are cosy for couples. Our room was furnished to a modern, high standard with air conditioning with a cute adjoining bathroom. It had everything that we needed for our city break and would enjoy staying somewhere similar in other European cities.

As the title suggests Floroom is more like an apartment than a hotel and as previous reviewers have highlighted the accomodation is not staffed. This is however something the providers make you aware of, we appreciate that this is not for everybody so anybody thinking of booking should bear this is mind. Ideally I would have liked to have awarded 3 and a half stars but as we all know this is not an option on tripadvisor and so after much deliberation and dare I say it debat with my husband I agreed that Florooms deserves a better than average rating hence the 4 stars. Pros: The accomodation is in a good and yet quite location, close enough to all the attractions as well as a variety of restaurants and bars You can help yourself to drinks (coffee & soft drinks) and snacks (cookies) throughout the day There is a communal area where you can spend time enjoying a drink outside the confines of your room - in the 4 days we were there we didn't have to share this with anybody so it felt like our own sitting area Cons: There is no lift in the building and the apartments are on the top floor, this means lots of stairs with your luggage (in fairness the providers do warn you of this) The rooms are cozy so if you take more than cabin baggage you may struggle as there is limited space to store or hang your clothes The finish, particularly in the bathroom, could be better (I'm not a fan of plastic shower curtains)

Just back from five nights. Room was fine and had great air conditioning (it was hot). Great location, near main attractions but wasn't overly touristy. My only negatives were two: breakfast, while it says included, it's self serve bagged pastries, grocery bought prepackaged meats and a coffee pot; the other is you never interact in person with anyone representing the property. When I arrived there was a young man at the street level door who was trying to enter. He said you must be the guest and asked for my code which I would not give him. I eventually opened the door with my code and entered a dark foyer, all alittle disconcerting. When I got to the third floor (no elevator), the young man was in the small lobby, and appeared to be working there. It would be nice to have someone on premises for a short bit in the morning or for someone to even reach out to you via email to make sure all is ok.
