We visited Lopud in the third week of September, so yes, it was towards the end of the season, but it's the time that suits us after the main holidays. Firstly, the island, harbour restaurants and general quiet location are all fantastic, as was our arrival at the hotel by fast water taxi - very James Bond-esque. Some confusion on arrival as firstly, the rooms were not ready at 1 pm, then we were asked to 'write down' our contact and card details on an A4 sheet to secure payment in case guests used the Spa or Bar/Restaurant facilities to charge to the room. This after they had taken our passports! Why not scan in and block reserve a figure on a card like other places? In the end, we agreed to leave our details only by directly inputting on their reception PC. The room was great - very well appointed, with an excellent sea view over the bay. Our particular cleaning lady was very polite and cheerful, as were the Spa and Breakfast service staff. As other reviews have said, it was frustrating the air-con is not adjustable 'in room' but thankfully, ours was set right for us. Although the spread and choice for breakfast was extensive and good quality, sadly, the hot options were 'lukewarm' at best, especially if placed on the cold plates provided by that section. The general look of the hotel is smart, but there were tired parts that spoilt the effect which just a little regular maintenance would sort. A handle missing/coming off here and there (pool to West Wing), dropped LED strip lights by mirrors (Room 453) and then, algae on the stone staircase that rises to the spa complex. (pressure washer needed!) The ferry service to other islands and Dubrovnik is a convenient 15-minute walk away in the harbour. The local restaurants are good if all carry much the same menu choices, so this could restrict your options if staying more than a week. We used these over the hotel restaurant and bar which had higher prices. In conclusion, we would certainly visit Lopud again and stay in RMH Lopud Lafodia on the basis that we expect changes to be made after the most recent reviews give similar feedback.

Had lovely week of stay at Lopud Lafodia located in Lopud Island, one of Eliphati Islands. Location and weather was fabulous with the deep blue water of Adriatic Sea to keep company. We were blessed with 5 days of sunshine. The ambience,facilities, cleanliness of rooms and quality of linen were very good rounded off by attentive staff at all levels ( Ricky, Gabriella, Aida, Tihormir to name a few). The ‘beach facilities’ and sea side restaurant and bar were excellent with friendly staff. I hope the following would be a constructive feedback to the hotel management. The dinner menu needed some TLC and a bit of variety to satisfy patrons who are there for a week or more. The closure of the seaside restaurant and bar on the last day left many patrons looking around for a beer or snacks in afternoon when one has only a few dining options in the island which were serving almost the same menu at a rather inflated prices. Finally, the water taxi ride from Brsecine harbour to hotel was nice and had a romantic touch

Very clean hotel, generally good service (beach bar staff always grumpy but everyone else great!). Only stayed b and b, but breakfast good and plenty if choice. Lupod is expensive though (the locals call it island prices), typically a bottle of wine being between 20 and 50 euros, and main courses in local restaurants between 18 to 35 euros. Very relaxing place and had a good stay overall.

Food in restaurant excellent and staff very helpful Jet 2 rep at hotel most unhelpful,seemed could hardly be bothered.Other reps at airport excellent Air conditioning in room could only be controlled by reception which was inconvenient Drinks and food in hotel expensive compared to local restaurants / bars Could continue but don't want to be a bore
