“Good Catalonian food”

I have visited this restaurant for over 20 years every time I go to Girona (Spain). With only one exception both the service and the food have been on the positive side. I have visited this restaurant for over 20 years every time I go to Girona (Spain). With only one exception both the service and the food have been on the positive side. The only drawback is that the restrooms are on the second floor and there is no elevator. I usually go to this restaurant with my 91 years old mother and... she has to hold it.

“Good value, clean accommodation.”

Stayed here with a group of friends last night. They were flying out of Barcelona early, so we wanted something where they didn't have too far to drive, so hence we stayed here. The two ladies on reception when we checked in, were very friendly and helpful. I had a double room on the 2nd floor, which was spacious, very clean, with a nice modern bathroom. The only down side was the heat.....very hot and difficult to sleep.

“Great value accommodation in non-touristy town”

I'd been travelling through Spain for 5 weeks and staying at predominantly tourist type accommodation. I was looking for something with a bit more of a local flavour, close to PGA Catalunya and with good food close by. This fitted all my criteria with the bonus of it being very reasonably priced, (about £26 per night) and the restaurant being on site. The room I was given was on the 2nd floor at the top of the staircase and was very large with a newly renovated bathroom. The bathroom doesn't have a bath, but does have a very large shower cubicle with the shower head supplying good water pressure and is very well decorated in a modern, neutral colour scheme. The windows opened onto a small, solid, flat roof that was only accessible from here and was ideal for sitting on in the afternoon and reading, while also being able to see over the rooftops of this part of town. You will not find air-conditioning units here, but the windows can be left open with the shutters down at night to get air circulation. The hotel has a car park next door that is shared with the adjoining small supermarket and there is more secure parking available across the street from this property that is available for a small charge. This was a good base for me as it was close to the golf, close to major roads with access to Barcelona in one direction and Girona/France in the other, while also only being a short drive to the coastal resorts. Added to this, the food in the restaurant was very good, although not priced for the extremely budget conscious. This is not a modern, high tech establishment but a small oasis of Catalan hospitality and cuisine that I would recommend giving a try.

“ONLY OPTION IN THIS TOWN”

Very old hotel. Romms are old but reasonable. Very frindly service in reception. Big reasurant on grounfloor including big menu and food just avarage. Free internet. Breakfast is nice supprise, owner ask what you like and bring nice freash food from shop next door and cook it fresh
