Perfect location 10 min in car south of Montepulciano, easily accesible and close to other world class wine districts/areas. It's a very economic option, where you get a lot of "bang for the buck". The owners are totally world class - the kind of friendliness is impossible to find elsewhere. Therefore, my warmest recommendation. The rooms are clean and good with air condition (not necessary in June, though), and ours even came with a double terrace. There is a simple but decent breakfast available at the hotel. It's only 5-10 minutes from Chianciano Terme going south, where a lot of good eating places are found as well as in Montepulciano. Around the hotel you will find some stunning Tuscan views around the landscape. The pool - jointly operated with the neighbouring hotel - was very good. You pay a little, insignificant amount of 5 EUR/daily for access if you want to get in the pool. Montalcino is like 45 minutes from the hotel in car. Summarized, I think this is the perfect choice if you want something that is economical, with wonderful staff, good pool, decent rooms and a location that you would normally pay much more for, then opt in for this hotel. You would pay much more for staying in more famous cities like Montepulciano even though the location is only a separate 10-15 minutes drive, which for most people shouldn't matter anything. The only "negative" thing would be that it is difficult if you need a daily run, to get to run directly from the hotel. In that case, I would recommend you go to Chianciano Terme and take a run there, which should be no problem. Great place and thank you a lot to the owner for a very good experience, especially my three years old daughter was very appreciative of the stay and loved it.
