We have had dinner at this wonderful hotel many times so we had to come for dinner again during our holiday. I was a bit worried because the weather was not great but I need not have been concerned. The hotel has a very efficient system of blinds which meant the terrace was sheltered and we were still able to enjoy the magnificent views. The food was amazing, they had really excelled themselves this time. We started with a delicious carrot and pear soup. The soup was quite spicy but the combination of flavours and textures worked really well together. Main course was beautifully cooked turbot and desert was a delicious Sable Breton with a mascarpone sauce. As always the service was efficient and friendly. The location is superb with stunning views over the bay and a very relaxing atmosphere.

“A very tranquil hotel”

Really stunning location, stylish and authentic interior, good food and pleasant staff. About a 20 minute walk to the coast although probably better to have a car. Gorgeous terrace under the trees to sit and watch the view and eat their famous orange cake.

“Beautiful food in beautiful setting”

Visited as a party of 6 friends and family for lunch as a small anniversary celebration. Beautiful hotel that we visit every year for coffee and cake so decided to try for lunch. Visited as a party of 6 friends and family for lunch as a small anniversary celebration. Beautiful hotel that we visit every year for coffee and cake so decided to try for lunch. Lovely table in lovely setting. Service was prompt and attentive and food was excellent. Slight hiccup with the quinoa salad which was supposed to come with a mustard dressing, but didnt? Asked the waitress and she asked the kitchen who just said “No”? We got balsamic. Everything else was lovely, and we had coffee on the terrace and all was perfect until we went in to settle the bill and was met by an unsmiling bartender who made us feel that they were in some way unhappy with us?? We spent around €240 and were not rowdy in any way so unsure why, but left feeling a tiny bit miffed. Otherwise would have been perfect!

“Disappointing ”

We ate in the restaurant for dinner. The head waiter( Maitre D) was not very welcoming and needs a personality transplant. The food was good but two others on our table of 6 didn’t like theirs. We had to ask for the table lamp to be changed as ours was broken. It was dark so should have been change… more

We ate in the restaurant for dinner. The head waiter( Maitre D) was not very welcoming and needs a personality transplant. The food was good but two others on our table of 6 didn’t like theirs. We had to ask for the table lamp to be changed as ours was broken. It was dark so should have been changed without being prompted. We have been here many times over the years for meals. It has usually been preferable during the day at lunchtime. The views are spectacular and cool on a hot day. The hotel is charming and steeped in rustic history. Just a shame there was no atmosphere in the restaurant. Probably wouldn’t return. Such a shame because it could be wonderful if the restaurant staff were more amiable and professional. Such a waste.
