“Convenient, comfortable and cozy”

We stayed from Friday until Sunday during the busy Winter holiday season. Arrival and check in was after 4pm. However we turned up at 12pm and received a warm welcome and was able to check in straight away. The room 306 is on the 3rd floor with view to the mountains. It’s the end of the corridor so quiet. It seemed newly refurbished with new furniture and wooden floors. Everything was spotless. The bathroom had toiletries and a hairdryer. We had room service, with beds made and toiletries etc replaced. The breakfast had a a decent selection, European standard. All we wanted - but missing sweet pastries, pancakes or the Norwegian waffle. The hotel has a retro 80’s maybe 90’s feel about it, with a few updates here and there. But it’s the staff that makes the place. It has all the comforts needed and value for money taken into account, this is a hotel we will recommend to friends and family - as well as staying again. + Really comfortable beds. + Convenient location. + Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. - Hallway could need some decent hoovering. - The mattress lacked bed linen. Only the mattress topper had bedsheets. Perhaps due to new beds? Also, only one pillow. Perhaps worth asking the receptionist to get an additional sent up. - Only one electrical socket, for the tv and a lamp. Another one under the bed. So not convenient when charging the phones etc. Also, only one bedside lamp.

We came late evening went out early morning. feels like a nice place. wifi free and good speed free and a lot of parking space, just don't park on KIWI shop parking lots breakfast was really ok as for a room with a view to the city :) there is a KIWI shop in the same building and Rema 1000 just next to it, also a Circle K gas station so it is a really good spot :)

“Quiet and Warm”

Skiing innTrysil. Hotel quiet and warm. Good buffet breakfast but no evening meal. Eating out a bit limited innTrysil. Good for skiing..ski bus calls at hotel..about 10 min to resort. Easy access to town across foot bridge. Internet god but can grind to a halt if being heavily used by lot if guest… more

Easy access to town across foot bridge. Internet god but can grind to a halt if being heavily used by lot if guest but otherwise fast. Rooms spacious..nice wooden floors and furniture. Bed comfortable. Easy parking. Small supermarket next door. Has museum of skiing in building but need to read Norweigian

“Great location, terrible staff.”

Location is great, just 5 mins drive to the ski lifts or 5 mins walk to the ski bus and to town. Also, pet friendly. Location is great, just 5 mins drive to the ski lifts or 5 mins walk to the ski bus and to town. Also, pet friendly. However the staff was terrible TV didn't work and no remote control on arrival. 1st time we asked about it the receptionist came up and couldnt figure it out and ultimately lied and said it was the entire building and would be fixed the next day. The next day, still not fixed and a different receptionist said he would come fix and never did. Breakfast had expired yogurt and coffee watered down. Receptionist also lied, telling us that the ski bus was not running yet on December 27th (I was skeptical and called SkiStar and it was indeed working since December 8). If you don't know, just say so and don't give false information to someone! Overall, a place that could have been great being in a perfect location within minutes of the slopes and town but I found the staff completely unhelpful and dishonest.

“Friendly Hotel Downtown Trysil”

We found that staying downtown in Trysil was the best option, price and comfort consideres. The Trysil-Knut was the perfect option; OK rooms, OK food - but lousy bar entertainment. I would recommend going to bed early, rather than listening to a Bulgarian band with no knowledge of the English langu… more

We found that staying downtown in Trysil was the best option, price and comfort consideres. The Trysil-Knut was the perfect option; OK rooms, OK food - but lousy bar entertainment. I would recommend going to bed early, rather than listening to a Bulgarian band with no knowledge of the English language… Breakfast was good. And the price was better than on the slopes, where you ski right out and have the hills to yourself from 10 am, groomed and easy.
