High marks because of price, location, and convenience. If you have mobility issues, beware of the narrow steep stairs and no elevator. Helpful front desk, open from 8:00 till 8:00 daily. Excellent location, easy access to the beach and to nice walking along the city wall and through the old city of Saint-Malo. You get what you pay for. This is not a fancy hotel. Basic comfortable room, good bathroom, and decent breakfast across the street. An easy 15 minute walk to the Brittany Ferries terminal.

Great location in the old town, only 15 minutes walk from the ferry port. The hotel is right next to a gate through the city walls at one of the nicest beaches with a beach bar and low tide walks to a couple of islands. Great location in the old town, only 15 minutes walk from the ferry port. The hotel is right next to a gate through the city walls at one of the nicest beaches with a beach bar and low tide walks to a couple of islands. Breakfast and Sunday brunch are served across the street in a separate building, but we didn't try as there are lots of food and drink options nearby. Friendly and English speaking staff. They took in our luggage early in the morning when we arrived, and had already taken it up to our room when we checked in in the afternoon. They gave us a city map with several recommended attractions and restaurants. We tried 2 of the restaurants which were both excellent. We really enjoyed the old city - ideal for a long weekend break. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. USB charging sockets on each side of the bed. Electric controlled shutters on the window. Our room was on the 3rd floor and a bit of a climb up steep stairs (no lift), It was also a bit of an odd layout with a separate WC across the room from the wash hand basin and shower room, but no problem once you got used to it. We were on the town side of the hotel, but there was no problem at all with noise from the streets below. We saw the lovely sea view from the upper rooms on the other (rampart) side of the hotel and would definitely ask for one of those next time.

Very well situated,yards from lovely sandy cove good for swimming, tidy clean rooms , breakfast service very good ,plenty of choices ,nice bar with seating outside,owners were wonderful host would stay here again ,very close to other restaurants and access to town centre

“Superb hotel with great view over the ocean”

This is a must stay place with great hospitaly, nice clean and modern rooms. I got bumped up to a room with a view which was great. De third floor rooms have a view over the city wall. The only drawback of the room was that the length of the bed was 190 cm with is rather small if you are 197cm.
