“Hotel in downtown”

This hotel is located right in the center of the town. It is accessed by a pedestrian street. Our room was very spacious. The quality of the sleep was good. The bathroom was clean. We would definitely go back to this Hotel.

Finding hotels that would accept our super-sweet-but-23kg Pointer was not easy, so we were happy to find this hotel for 3 nights to explore the La Rioja region. Plusses: 1. hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to find us catas/wine tastings in English without our asking for them and so on..and all were great with Danko-dog. 2. they accept dogs, and no extra charge! (most other hotels charge about 8-10Euros/night) 3. breakfast is ample 4. heating works well so you're never cold Minuses: 1. in general the hotel is fairly tired, and could use some maintenance (lightbulbs missing and so on) and in general a makeover, especially the first floor we were on. The pictures are better than the reality. 2. bathroom shower head works poorly and in the middle of the wall so impossible not to get water everywhere since there is no shower curtain either. Also have an inexplicable auto-sensor soap-dispenser on the wall which dispenses soap if you even get close to it...annoying. Finally, we did the "Wine Experience" for 2 nights which gets you into Ysios and Marques de Riscal wineries, which in high-season could otherwise be sold out..the Ysios tour was much better in our opinion.

“Basic but clean, pleasant & excellent location.”

Booked on the day of stay €70 + tax for a double room. Good bed and sheets, bathroom and water pressure much better than expected. Quiet at the back of the hotel. Ate dinner there which was perfectly fine but our request for breakfast hadn't been noted so we only had toasted baguette & jams with go… more

Booked on the day of stay €70 + tax for a double room. Good bed and sheets, bathroom and water pressure much better than expected. Quiet at the back of the hotel. Ate dinner there which was perfectly fine but our request for breakfast hadn't been noted so we only had toasted baguette & jams with good coffee which was more than adequate and only charged €4,50 each. I would certainly recommend this hotel as the staff are pleasant, it's clean and has a perfect location. The bar has many local wines by the glass so a good chance to do some tasting, and they have them bottled at very good prices.
