“Great location beside Lac Tranquille, but a very tired hotel.”

The bedrooms were clean and comfortable for a 2-star hotel, but needed a lot of maintenance. Lights didn't work. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable for a 2-star hotel, but needed a lot of maintenance. Lights didn't work. There was a hole in the inside of the sliding door to the bathroom where the handle should have been and it had come off its supports and flapped every time it was opened and closed. The power point in the bathroom was wired to the light circuit and would work only when the lights were on - a very big NO NO for electrical safety. Staff were welcoming and helpful and the view over the lake was tremendous. With a bit of tender loving care, this could be a very nice hotel.

“Great dinner in terrible dining room”

We didn't stay in this hotel, but were told that the rooms, and especially the bathrooms, were appalling. The dining room, which had a lovely position overlooking the lake, was positively dreadful. The 6 of us were squashed into a corner with little or no room to move. Having said that, the meal itself was very tasty and well-presented and good value for money. Just a shame that the surroundings didn't match up to the food.

You can understand why it's only 2 star...the hotel has a fantastic location but is in need of updating in the annex where we were put. You can understand why it's only 2 star...the hotel has a fantastic location but is in need of updating in the annex where we were put. The staff were fine although asked for additional pillows 4 times and still forgot...breakfast was ok but the food could have been covered. Blighted by being near the main road where the local takeaway used kids on loud irritating mopeds...bar at the back was noisy up to 1pm..both not the hotels fault...overall a one night stop over is ok... lake is lovely for a walk around.
