Upon arriving at the hotel, it was a little strange to access it via a Bar, in fact the reception is the bar. A little strange, but everybody was very friendly when entering, they are talkative & make you feel welcome as well, although be prepared to listen to moaning when they're trying to take a card payment & the phone rings! The rooms are very quaint & have everything you need. The only problem is that the door is not soundproofed, so you hear everything via it. Despite this I still managed to get quite a good nights sleep. The breakfast, whilst served by friendly staff is also a little strange. You eat it in the bar (where members of the public also enjoy their drinks) you get (for 2 of us) a basket with 2croissants, 2 pain-au-chocolate brought to the table with a small glass or orange juice & your choice of hot drink, which for €6 I was expecting at least a plate to put your croissant on, and some butter/jam, but this may be personal preference. Check-out was easy & again the staff were very friendly. Depending on your room situation you could actually end up with a beautiful view of the port, i was not so fortunate & got a view of a building next door & a driving school. Overall it was a nice hotel, a little different from what I've experienced before, but did the trick!

I arrived in the early hours of the morning to find the hotel in total darkness. Having pre booked a room and been given a key by the driver who met me at Marseilles airport, I let myself into the hotel and made may way cautiously up the stairs - and was relieved to find that the lights were automatic. Room 13 was very small but spotlessly clean with freshly laundered bedding, towels and efficient aircon. The WC was in a small cupboard sized alcove and the shower opened directly into the room. Several lightbulbs were broken, the aircon produced a puddle that ran under the door into the corridor and there was nowhere to hang clothing. However, I had a comfortable nights sleep and considering the cost of the room, I couldn't really complain too much. It was somewhere convenient to crash for a night.
