We had a good stay here but it started badly. The hotel is a good hours drive from the airport and the directions they give are good - if you use the pay as you go road - cost about 10 euros. Its not a good idea to use the non toll road unless you have all day. On arrival we were asked for a 100 Euro deposit IN CASH - which we didn't have. They accepted a mix of GDP and euros once I had thought of this. It was late, we were tired, So wasn't too impressed, they also explained that there was charging for car parking, 10 euros under cover 6 Euros in open a day. Got to the flat and was even further unimpressed to find the beds not made. There is no maid service in this hotel. No cleaning no replacement toilet rolls and just soap as a welcome pack. Sheets and towels are replaced weekly. You can get them more frequently by asking and the toilet rolls are available that way too. The good parts are the accommodation which is excellent and furnished to a good standard. comfortable beds well equipped kitchen. All pretty much as in the website. The staff are extremely helpful, Two of the three reception staff speak good English, usually only one is on. You will need some Spanish with the third staff member. Outside you apartment the hotel is not so good. the pools are small. The larger one is 15M long and they charge 2 euros a day for sun beds. Which I haven't encountered before in a hotel. There are 60 of these and I doubt there is room for them all to be out. given the hotel capacity I doubt this will be enough in the high season. Despite the hotels description no Internet while we were there and you couldn't phone outside the hotel. (the hotel is new and these weren't in place yet). You will struggle to get a meal of any sort from the "shop" there are two supermarkets about a mile away. One at the bottom of the obvious road to the beach. We never used the bar - and never saw anyone else use it while we were there. The loud 80s disco music may be a factor?? This site isn't ideal for disabled people steps to get everywhere, and steep slopes, but if all you want is the excellent self catering accommodation there are some accessible rooms. But most are hard to get to in a wheel chair. There were no dish cloths tea towels washing up liquid or any cleaning agents provided. Virtually all rooms have stunning views and a good balcony to see it from. If you want to eat out don't bother with Sabinillas go to Peuto Dequesa 30+ restaurants of all sorts all within 100M of each other. You find what you want here - unless it is authentic Spanish cuisine. You need a car to stay here. I recommend Malagacar.com. The hotel is best suited to couples who want somewhere quiet to stay, completely unsuited for singles wanting to party. I realise much of what I have said is negative, but we had a great time. Many of my "complaints" are there so you know what to take. My only real niggle is that they want you to pay for sun beds at the pool. mostly I wanted a quick dip at the start or end of the day and the chance to dry off in the sun. and to charge for that seems off to me.
