I had problems checking in at the front desk, Manager had to come out and find my Travelocity reservation and prepayment. The room was basic, not very clean and the many things in the room needed repair. Bath was not setup with toiletries or even spare TP. Shower was dirty. This is supposed to be a nicer hotel in the historic Gloria neighborhood. Back directly up to the favela with lots of street people around. Bar accross the street runs very late and loud. But the bakery Paderia on the corner is open 24 hours and has great pizza and sweet treats Eu tive problemas de check-in na recepção, o gerente teve que sair e encontrar a minha reserva Travelocity e pré-pagamento. O quarto era básico, não muito limpo e as muitas coisas no quarto precisava de reparação. Banho não foi configurado com artigos de toalete ou até mesmo reposição TP. Chuveiro estava sujo. Este é suposto ser um hotel melhor no bairro histórico de Gloria. De volta diretamente para a favela com muitas pessoas de rua ao redor. Bar atravessando a rua funciona muito tarde e alto. Mas a Padaria Padaria na esquina está aberta 24 horas e tem ótimas pizzas e doces

Spacious room on sixth floor was comfortable enough but colleagues on level five stayed in what were old 'love hotel' rooms and were displeased. Bed was hard and door knob to bathroom fell off, which gives an indication that this is not an up-market and modern hotel. Street noise was a problem at n… more

Spacious room on sixth floor was comfortable enough but colleagues on level five stayed in what were old 'love hotel' rooms and were displeased. Bed was hard and door knob to bathroom fell off, which gives an indication that this is not an up-market and modern hotel. Street noise was a problem at night/early morning from the bar opposite. The restaurant food was below average at dinner, ok at breakfast. Was undergoing renovations when I stayed there and they are much-needed.

Stayed during the world cup period and it was the most expensive for our three weeks travel throughout Brazil. Stayed during the world cup period and it was the most expensive for our three weeks travel throughout Brazil. Best thing abt the hotel is that the room was spacious with big toilets, and the location was good, just two min away from Gloria metro station. Well located in a safe area. There are many food options and markets on sunday mornings. Breakfast was good too. Wifi was strong and service was good. Would probably recommend it if it was less expensive after the world cup period.
