“Great for one night”

We stayed for one night and it served the purpose. Conveniently located in the main street, close to the train station, with plenty of eating places around. Room was clean and the staff was helpful. We had no problems checking in or checking out.

Checking was one of the most frustrating experiences ever, to check in 4 people took approximately 30 minutes. The room was certainly no more than ok, no aircon as expected, the bed was the usual 2 singles pushed together but they both sloped towards the middle which had a huge lump, uncomfortable… more

Checking was one of the most frustrating experiences ever, to check in 4 people took approximately 30 minutes. The room was certainly no more than ok, no aircon as expected, the bed was the usual 2 singles pushed together but they both sloped towards the middle which had a huge lump, uncomfortable.... The shower was more like a dribble and took at while to get warm.. The room, however, was very very clean. I’d not stay here again mainly because of the bed and no air con. Considering this was a superior room it didn’t feel it.

“Ok ”

Hotel toppin good location, but don’t stay in rooms any less than superior, stayed twice because of a family emergency, first time in a standard room absolutely terrible, second time in a superior hell of a lot better, great breakfast.

Stayed for two days one at the start of a cycle tour and one at the end. When we arrived the area was having a bit of a heat wave even for Provence. Stayed for two days one at the start of a cycle tour and one at the end. When we arrived the area was having a bit of a heat wave even for Provence. The room we had was on the second floor at the front and was very stuffy from the heat. There is no air conditioning in the hotel it appears every room has a fan. We had difficulty sleeping with the heat. On our return the temperature had dropped a few degrees and I had asked for a room at the rear of the hotel which was much cooler. The staff were very cheerful and helpful. Though no offer of help to get our bags up the forty stairs to our room. There is a garage that closes at 21.00 to store bikes and cars in safety. A cycle shop is about 100 metres away as you leave the hotel turn right. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast and plentiful. On our first day there it appeared that many of the staff who work there also have breakfast so the seats near the food were taken and there appeared to be the normal staff banter going on. We had breakfast at 7.00 a.m. to get off early to avoid as much of the heat as possible. Our second stay there were fewer staff having breakfast as it was Bastille day and therefore less intimidating. The rooms are clean though the decor needs updating as both our rooms could do with redecorating. The hotel is on the main street and in a great position to explore the town. There are a variety of food outlets within easy walking distance of the hotel. A supermarket is less than 10 minutes walk as is the train station. Been on the main street it tends to be noisy at the front until the bar next door closes. At one stage the bar had a singer who sounded like a cat being strangled. Wifi is variable our first room on the second floor had poor wifi and I found sitting in the dining/reception area was much better. Our second room on the first floor was much better. Overall a hotel that is fine enough for an overnight stay I wouldn't want to stay much longer than overnight especially at the height of Summer.
