Went for a week of ski/ snowboarding with a group of friends. First thing to note is that I was sharing a room with a friend and we were delighted to have a really big room with two single beds and a double - which meant we didn't have to sleep jammed up to each other in a tiny bed (as in many ski hotels). Our friends had similar. Not sure if this is the norm. Rooms had kettles and tea making facilities. Shower and no bath. Shower wasn't the best ever but fine and most importantly- always hot. Hotel Restaurant is very nice and it was great to have the same table for breakfast and dinner throughout our stay. The food is served buffet style. Lovely food all week. What was noticeable all week was how lovely ALL the staff were, from the cleaner, reception and restuarant staff. Spa is just small. Would have benefitted from some water/teas etc, but very pleasant. Two hot tubs and a sauna. It costs just 10 euros for the week and for that you're given a robe and slippers to use in the spa all week. Book spa space every morning at reception. Only negatives for me was that the hotel bar was an "Irish Bar" next to reception. It was noisy and in the week we were there, there were lots of groups of men on holiday together. They were ok but when rugby etc was on TV it wasn't really a relaxing place. I would have preferrred a more Italian / authentic bar and one where it was possible to talk properly to people. Again, the staff were nice though and prices reasonable. Ski room was next to the bar (not inside the hotel) and not always locked, it was also a bit cramped, but it worked. Ski bus is not included in the ski pass, so we had to buy a weekly bus tickets after we arrived and the bus runs only every 45 mins and on occasion was full. Nearest lift is Clotes lift which is 10 mins walk. Not easy in ski boots, but you can buy a locker for the week. Ski bus situation is not the hotel's fault.... I would recommend this hotel all in all and I would stay again. We were very pleased with our choice as a group of 6 people.

“Good Value Hotel.”

The hotel was very clean and the rooms reasonably spacious. The staff were great, always friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the rooms reasonably spacious. The staff were great, always friendly and helpful. The evening meals were a buffet style which was ok, decent choice but similar most evenings. A bit of a walk to the chair lifts in a morning, all uphill but we learnt that you can pay to leave your skis adjacent to the lifts which was a bonus. For the money the hotel was excellent value and it had a decent pub underneath which was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here booked through Crystal ski. It was sold as a 4*, but I would say it was far from it. The positives were the staff were friendly and the food was good and plentiful. Our family room was a great size but the shower was not great. The door was falling off when moved and the water only came through half of the shower head! The beds were extremely hard (I don’t mind a firm bed but this was uncomfortable). The view from our room was not good. We actually had good wifi in our room but a lot of people were saying that they couldn’t get any. The mirror in the room is the wrong height - see photo!! The decor is very dated and it does need a complete overhaul as paint is chipped off and generally looks tired. Although it wasn’t a bad stay there were a lot of things that don’t make it a 4*
