My three friends and I stayed here for one night before a trip to Cinque Terre. The room was comfortable and had a homely feel. Although the internet did not work in the room we enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and even drove us to the train station with all our bags, as we were going to miss our train. We were given vouchers for a free breakfast and recommendations for a restaurant which was very helpful.

“Cute B & B, would recommend it to backpackers on a budget”

This is a family run B & B. The manager spoke very good english but her family did not. We didn't have very much interaction with the family but they were pleasant when we did. Our room was small but nice and clean. There was no A/C in the room, only in the hall so if you wanted the cool air you would have to leave your door open to the hallway. We stayed here for 2 nights while we visited the towns of the Cinque Terre. It was a short train ride to the Cinque terre from La Spezia. The breakfast left something to be desired as it consisted or juice boxes and pre-packaged pastries.

The place is very clean and only 20 minutes by train to La Spezia. Plus points. Clean. Close to Sarzana by bus 12minutes and 1.60 Euro. Very near to La Fabricca a large shopping centre/mall for cheap food and drink. Bad points. No kitchen. No cooked breakfast only prepackaged rolls, jams and cerea… more

The place is very clean and only 20 minutes by train to La Spezia. Plus points. Clean. Close to Sarzana by bus 12minutes and 1.60 Euro. Very near to La Fabricca a large shopping centre/mall for cheap food and drink. Bad points. No kitchen. No cooked breakfast only prepackaged rolls, jams and cereal bars. Not in La Spezia or close to Cinque Terre. Note this means an hour door to door each way so you can mostly forget sunrises and sunsets as the last summer train home is at 21.02 from La Spezia. There is not even anything in La Spezia compared to other towns in the region. Shared bathroom for 4 to 5 double rooms. Make sure you shower the night before to save time. If staying here make use of the location to see other beautiful towns forgotten due to Cinque Terre fever. Good itinerary is bus to Sarzana. Small charming town with friendly people, walled old town with central castle, beautiful churches, necropolis, nearby fort. Then 20min bus to Lerici 1.20 Euro. Coastal town with clear water and 3km promenade. Famous for Mary and Percy Shelley. Then 6euro boat to Portovenere which beats most Cinque Terre towns. From here you can get a boat to Cinque Terre or 4euro ferry or 1.60bus to La Spezia. Time permitting. Mske sure you have boat timetables to hand. Train and bus timetables help you join the dots. Compared with 25euro Cinque Terre boat trips this itinerary is hard to beat. Buy bus tickets in advance at tabacchi (cigarette newsagents). Buy books of 8 for group and you get a good discount.
