“Good hotel at a very nice location”

Good , clean and well renovated hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. It looks very new, also the bathroom. We had very much old bathrooms in different hotels during our trip in Italy, but this one was good. We first we’re not so happy with the included diner we had en paid for. The price was a little bit high, €350,- for 2 nights. But at the end we’re okay with this. This is because the diner was very good, staff was nice and the location is more than good. When you left the hotel, you directly enter the lake. The woman from the reception was also very nice and kindly. She gave us a beautiful recommendation to see. It calls funivia piani d'erna. You can go upstairs from that point to the mountain , with a cablecar. Very very nice. The rest of the staff was also nice and they are very helpfull. We we’re disappointed that we stayed here only for 2 days and not longer.

“Sweet”

The hotel is a classical one with dark wood finish the room are compact most rooms have a balcony, private bathroom quite compact but it serves the purpose. The location is peaceful just right next to the river bank. the staff were very courteous and served us a good breakfast.

The only reason I gave 3 stars to this hotel is because of the staff, who did their best. First, I booked a king room with lake view. The only reason I gave 3 stars to this hotel is because of the staff, who did their best. First, I booked a king room with lake view. We got a room on the first floor, view blocked by trees and facing a noisy playground full of kids. Then the hotel doesn’t have an elevator! And it’s not mentioned anywhere. Luckily the gentleman who checked us in, helped with the luggage. Finally, the breakfast buffet was empty! We had to ask every time for them to refill it and it took a while. The room was ok, with just the basics. So take with you whatever you may need or just do not to waste money on this hotel.

Arriving at the Lecco railway station with one wheeled suitcase and a daypack, google maps helped me find this hotel within about a 10-12 minute walk. Not too difficult to find. The hotel is at one end of the town and is just across a road from Lake Como. There is a nice pathway along the side of the lake. Check-in and out were simple. No issues. The room (King with balcony) was a good size, the bed was comfortable, the internet wifi worked fine, there was a safety deposit box in the room as well as toiletries in the bathroom. Water was hot, shower very small......but for an average sized bloke, it was fine. Only thing I would have liked that wasn't in the room....kettle and tea/coffee. Not sure of the air-conditioning was good or not as I had no need for it whilst there as the weather had got cooler.....but there certainly was an air-conditioner in the room. There was also a TV but I never switched on and have no idea what channels are available. Huge balcony with two chairs and a table. Breakfast was fairly simple continental style. No issues. Basically as described on the hotel's website. Nothing fancy or elaborate but it was filling enough. The hotel has a restaurant which does lunch and dinner, but I never ate at it. There is also an Indian restaurant next door and beside it.....a pizza takeway, which is very cheap and does great pizza! Within a five to 6 minute walk there is also a great Irish pub with 17 draught beers and ciders on tap.....and which has very friendly staff. So, although the hotel is more on the outskirts of town, it's only a very short walk to get into the middle of town. The hotel advertises itself as a 3 star hotel and I think that's an appropriate rating.
