Stayed at the pouusada for 5 nights in April. We were welcomed by the owners Luiza & Edvar + coffee and cake! Our room was very clean and tidy, with a good sized comfortable bed. The bathroom was a good standard with a nice shower cubicle. The room also included good air-con, a ceiling fan and a safe box. There was plenty of room for storage and hanging clothes. Breakfast was delicious, buffet style with fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread, cheese, meat, croissant and other pastries. We were offered eggs each morning and Edvar produced lots of little surprise edibles each day. The grounds were well kept with plenty of areas to socialise outside. Location was great, about 15mins walk to the main restaurant/shopping area, and 10mins walk the opposite way to Ferredura beach. There was no noise from the town at night. We would recommend this pousada to anyone.

“Number one in buzios”

There is a good reason that this pousada has an exceptionally high rating in booking.com - it is perfect in pretty much every way. The position is good, 15-20 min (safe, flat and pretty well-lit) walk from the main shops and best restaurants, but in a quiet suburban area away from the large hotels.… more

There is a good reason that this pousada has an exceptionally high rating in booking.com - it is perfect in pretty much every way. The position is good, 15-20 min (safe, flat and pretty well-lit) walk from the main shops and best restaurants, but in a quiet suburban area away from the large hotels. You get a very warm welcome from edvardo and Louisa when you arrive and then are shown to your spacious and comfortable room. Wifi was slow when we were there but this may have been a problem with the network generally. The grounds are peaceful and green with hammocks to relax in. The area is quiet at night and we slept well on the comfortable bed. The breakfast is excellent and edvardo will cook you up some eggs to your liking to go with the rest of the breakfast spread. The pousada is a short walk to the nearest beach, which we enjoyed more than the more popular beaches nearer to the town. Some may prefer to have a car to stay here but we stayed for 5 days and walked everywhere (you can also catch the town bus to reach the beaches without walking). We had such and enjoyable and relaxing time here and highly recommend it.

It was my lucky day when a friend booked this pousada for our short stay in Buzios because this was definitely the best choice (I had to stay in another pousada afterwards so I can compare!). The hosts, who are a retired couple, are extremely friendly and nice and make you feel at home. I loved how the husband would come up to me at breakfast and asked me how I liked my eggs. Personal touch definitely makes a difference! The rooms were spacious and very clean. There was A/C, which is great in Buzios and hot shower all the time :) The location was perfect too because it was only walking distance to Ferradura beach, which is the second best beach in Buzios! I would highly recommend this Pousada to anyone, who wants to enjoy Buzios to the fullest!

I cannot believe this place is not ranked (YET) as one of the top ones for Buzios on Trip Advisor. My partner and I (and our other couple friends) stayed here this past weekend and absolutely loved every minute of this Pousada. Our first time in Buzios we stayed super close to the Rua das Pedras in an overpriced 4 star hotel. The second time we came with family and rented a big beach house in Manguinhos. The third time, we decided to stay here in Pousada Caminho das Aroeiras. It's owned by the sweetest and most welcoming couple Edward and Louisa, who will make you feel right at home and make you feel like you are visiting your parents. They've clearly paid very close attention to every detail of the place. Upon arrival, Louisa walked out to greet us and welcomed us graciously. She gave us information and showed us to our room, which was very clean, spacious and modern – also had a terrific smell of fresh flowers. The place is quiet and romantic, located right in the middle between the beaches and the Rua das Pedras (both 10 minute walk away or about 18 reals one way taxi). There is a beautiful deck with modern and clean sofas & furniture (even a hammock) overlooking a beautiful and relaxing garden with humming birds and flowers – would be a great setting for a wedding. Every day Edward and Louisa offer a complimentary "Café da tarde" afternoon coffee, tea and cake between 5-7pm. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and healthy – fruits, freshly squeezed juices, granola, cheeses, meats, breads, pastries, cakes, and they will even make you fresh eggs! Edward surprised us on our last morning with his delicious warm & crispy tomato bruschetta. We absolutely adored this place and highly recommend us! My partner and I both want to bring our parents back here one day. What a wonderful, memorable and rejuvenating weekend.
