“Romantic Spot”

The swimming pool and rooms around are just perfect. The oasis on a busy street. The staff were so helpful and it was a totally chilled day after my dives each day. The swimming pool is so beautiful you will fall in love with the nice cosy intimate feel of the place.

I come from Norway. Me and my daughter went to Chalong, Phuket, the last week of June 2019. Our main goal was to scuba dive, her do a Open Water Diver-course, me just to scuba dive. (I learned, many years ago). We landed Sunday morning, the rain was pouring down, and arrived at the hotel at 11 am. Check-in is 14 pm, but this morning that didn't matter. We got a room at second floor, as I had requested. The room was standard size, two single beds and a elefphant made of towels, safe, tv, water boiler, writing desk and chair, air condidion, wifi (a little slow some times). Bathroom with soap and shampoo. June is low season. Some days we were the only one at the hotel. This makes the breakfast really calm, and the pool inside the hotel very attractive. If you want a massage, the reception will make that happen, at the hotel. The street where the hotel is located in, is a street with bars, restaurants and scuba diving shops. All scuba diving shops/schools are good and professional, but I will recommend Aussie Divers. About restaurants I will recommend Happy days or the one some 50 meters fearther up. The last one give you big portions. You also need to rent a motorbike. Fearther up is a roundabout. Vis a vis the police "box" is a tourist information, here it's safe to rent a bike. 250 baht per 24 hours. If you bring your wife, or your children, this is a nice place to stay. I would come back any day.

We unfortunately only stayed one night but the accommodation is very nice. Although in the higher price bracket for the area the rooms were very well set out and very clean. It has on-site spa facilities and a very nice pool. On arrival our room had been setup as a twin rather than double as requested and we were instantly upgraded to their suite which was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was included and had options for traditional Thai or Western food. All the staff were very friendly and it was only a few minutes walk from the main marina. Overall it was a perfect stop for our needs.

Main reason we come back to this hotel again and again is because of the convenience to Chalong Pier. If you book daytrip diving off Phuket, you need to be at the Pier by 8am or 9am depending on the boat company. Usual van transfers from Patong area pickup time are 700-730am depending on how many other customers they are picking up along the way to Chalong. Thus we can sleep in late and walk to the Pier, 3 minutes. On daytrip boats there's always simple breakfast such as sandwiches or eggs and ham. This hotel provides no frills breakfast from 730am, eggs of your choice, toasts, ham and sausages, cornflakes, fruits and of course coffee, tea and juices. Rooms are large and simple. Beds and pillows can improve, toilet facilities can improve. Small pool and jaccuzi good enough to have a beer and chill by the poolside after dives. Mozzies are everywhere including inside the rooms so be sure to spray repellent 24/7. Value for money, simple and basic for divers and nowhere close to luxury for the price you pay. Take note bathrooms can be slippery. Pier area has a few restaurants and bars, nothing fanciful. Rent a car for better eats.
