“Great location and value”

For the price and location we had a great stay at the hostel. They were friendly and helpful as well. We stayed in a private room and found it to be very comfortable although very basic. We weren't in our room much so didn't bother us at all.

The location of this pousada is great. It's in a really safe area, only a 5-10 minute walk from the beach, and nice restaurants all around. The location of this pousada is great. It's in a really safe area, only a 5-10 minute walk from the beach, and nice restaurants all around. It's also an interesting place to stay considering the history of the previous owner. My only real negative was the noise at night but I think this was the location of our room. We were room #1 right beside a community bathroom, baggage storage room, and a sofa lounge area. The first night there were people outside our room what felt like all night even though the policy is no noise after 10:00 pm. This was frustrating because they were also right beside reception so I wish they would have been told to be quiet. The next two nights were a lot better but a few times people would try to open our door thinking it was the bathroom. Considering the price and location, I would stay here again but request a room on the second floor. My friend had a room in the back of the hotel and he said it was quiet. Also, the reception staff is super friendly! Rio is an amazing city!

“Good for 2 nights”

24 hour reception always good. Staff are very friendly and helpful! Only marked down as the air con sounds like a plane is taking off (or for our room at least) also you cannot turn it up or down it’s either on full blast or not at all. Room did the job. Showers were really good + nice and warm.
