Lovely clean, modern stylish hotel. We stayed for one night as part of a tour. The rooms and all facilities were perfectly adequate and well looked after. I must mention the restaurant, bar and breakfast room though.... We arrived at the restaurant at 5.30pm, when it opened. There were only three of us yet it took over an hour to take our orders and feed us. Everything seemed to run in extremely slow motion with more attention to image than efficiency. Think the scene in “Love Actually” when Roman Atkinson’s character is wrapping a gift.... All we wanted was feeding quickly as we were performing that night and had to leave for the venue ASAP. The same pantomime was repeated when 4 of us returned to the bar for a post performance drink, the perfectly polite bar manager took an age to serve 3 tiny beers and a whisky and even longer for a second round. In the morning at breakfast there was a good selection to choose from however it seemed to take a long time for anything to be re-stocked, the staff LOOKED very busy but not in a particularly productive way eg lots of tidying up but very little checking if guests needs were being met. Again, the staff were perfectly polite but not particularly productive. I feel this hotel could be top class with a staff training course in EFFECTIVE customer service however I can’t fault anything else.

This is a really nice, modernized hotel. I have no complaints about my room or location. It was quiet and most of the staff was great. If there was an elevator, we never found it. Being out of country travelers, we had 30+lb bags. The stairs weren't a problem for me but could be for others. I gave 4 stars because we had a very rude waiter at the restaurant. We had two waiters for dinner, the second being great but the first was not. He was frustrated at how long it was taking us to translate the menu. There were 2 other guests in the restaurant so it was't like they needed to turn over the table. He didn't help recommend anything just got a little grumpier each time he came over and we said we weren't ready. I was certainly surprised when our second waiter realized we didn't speak German and immediately brought us over 2 menus in English. Not sure why the first guy didn't bring them to us since he was so frustrated at us translating using an app on my phone. The breakfast and breakfast staff were great though!

“New Years Eve ”

Very nice hotel and good rooms too.. the hotel also has a wellness area which is perfect for a time to relax and enjoy yourself The breakfast was huge and very nice Only minus was the beds🛏 they were soft but you could feel the metal underneath

“Nice hotel”

My son and I used it as a base for visiting family in Dithmarschen, and it was fine. The breakfasts were good. Staff not super-smiley, but I think that is a north German thing. Rooms clean and wifi worked well.

I was here 3 years ago, at that time the rooms were a bit dusty and old. Breakfast was good. Since then i stayed in Karstens Gasthof, 5 km outside. Which is a great small hotel. I was here 3 years ago, at that time the rooms were a bit dusty and old. Breakfast was good. Since then i stayed in Karstens Gasthof, 5 km outside. Which is a great small hotel. This time for convenience i stayed in the Nordica again and they have positively surprised me. - Rooms are modernized and clean - bathroom is good - Beds are nice - Internet is good in the rooms. - Breakfast buffet is extensive, fresh fruits, yoghurts, bread, even salmon. Very friendly staff. Eventhough Karstens gasthof. is still my favorite, this hotel is very recommendable.
