Okay, so, admittedly, I am a hotel snob. I related Econo Lodge with other lower cost, bare bones hotels. Oh contrare! I was pleasantly surprised at all the amenities this one has to offer. “Nice place to stay after Dollywood”
We stayed here for one night, after leaving Dollywood at closing time. We needed to drop our granddaughters off in Asheville, so Newport was a good option that was along the way but not so far that we had a long drive at the end of the day. “Cheap and Clean, Good Roadside Hotel”
Needs a refurbish but it was clean, cheap and quiet. Had the usual free breakfast. Desk people were friendly. I would stay again if in the area. I usually stay at a Hampton for roadside hotels but this was over $100 cheaper than the Hampton.
