“GOOD HOTEL”

i booked the Solana for five days this March, Looking at the reviews I would not have booked, but my son works in Arinsal so I asked him whats it like. he said its alright so I booked,Its NOT a terrible Hotel by any means. i booked the Solana for five days this March, Looking at the reviews I would not have booked, but my son works in Arinsal so I asked him whats it like. he said its alright so I booked,Its NOT a terrible Hotel by any means. Yes its a bit dated and tired in places, but my room 305 was good comfortable bed and a great walk in shower, It was right on the front with fantastic views. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful.must add great value for money and great location 5min walk to the gondola.Breakfast was ok not much selection but adequate,but you need to bear in mind what I paid.... so would I return YES !!!....

We stayed here for 4 nights in January. Having seen some reviews we were a bit worried. However we were pleasantly surprised. The whole hotel is a little tired, however the room was clean and warm, which is all you need really. The staff were very helpful and let us use their store room to put our luggage and board bags while we were waiting for our transfer. The breakfast was excellent with all tastes catered for. Only negative was the type of clients that the hotel attracts, school parties of all ages. The younger kids however were extremely well behaved, the older ones were very noisey at night and it sometimes felt a little like a youth hostel. I think it would benefit from a staff member having a wander at night and asking people to quiet down(at least after midnight). Perfect location and minutes away from the gondola. Very enjoyable stay and would stay there again.

“Weekend skiing”

The hotel is well located and with a supermarket next door and the ski lift just up the road we were happy. The room was ok and had a tv, balcomy and nice bathroom. The hotel is well located and with a supermarket next door and the ski lift just up the road we were happy. The room was ok and had a tv, balcomy and nice bathroom. Beds were not comfy but slept ok second night. The breakfast was nice, restaurant is ok. The swimming pool was 3€ extra and the sauna was not working well and steam room was turned off. Pool was heated and nice and deep. Enjoyed our stay and will be returning again in April to ski again.
