“Great staff”

The El Cruce is a basic roadside hotel, we stayed for a few nights. The rooms are basic, but very clean. Our room; looked out over the dual carriageway, we kept the windows shut and the noise of the traffic didn’t bother us. There is parking; however a certain times of the day, can be limited. There is a cafe/bar that has a lunch and evening menu which offered a variety of snacks or meals, which were reasonably priced. All the locals come here to eat; which is a recommendation in its self and therefore, why at times limited parking. The staff who served us, we’re all very friendly and really helpful. Can highly recommend.

Easy to find even if you’re travelling on the other side of the dual carriageway, this hotel, bar & restaurant is very modern. Parking is on the street or in an area adjoining. My single room was what I would call “cute” but rather bizarre. The bed, toilet, washbasin & shower were all within the room with no separation....but it worked well. The shower cubicle was plastic and rather rickety which was a shame. It also took me quite a while to work out how to turn on the water. The view from the tiny window was of a large ventilation pipe, the towels were rather rough and there was a quiet but annoying throbbing hum from the vent pipe... although this probably only applied to the room I was in. The staff were great, the bar was busy morning and night and, I must say rather unexpectedly, the food in the restaurant was fantastic – huge portions and very reasonably priced. I was there Saturday night and the place was packed. My tostada & coffee in the morning cost just 2€. Recommended as a stopover.

Having arrived in Spain on business we needed to find somewhere to stay for a few days. Fount this establishment on a website and booked. Arrived and initially was some confusion but waiter made us welcome with a free coffee while he tried to resolve the problem. The problem was resolved and we stayed here although the room was nice it is next to the busy dual carriageway and traffic is thundering up all night and day and can be heard. Staff are polite and friendly and the food is reasonably but not to everyone's taste but was eatable.
